I groan and end the call, shuffling down stairs. I see my mom in the kitchen with someone else...
"Lilly! This is my boyfriend Shawn..." she guestures her hands towards a tall man with a smile.
"hi..." I mumble, wanting to go back to my friends.
"hi, Lilly. Your mom has told me so much about you" his voice is low, but still comforting. He holds out his hand for me to shake and I take it slowly, shaking it once.
"can I go back to my friends?" I ask, looking at my mom.
"sweetie, Shawn has really wanted to meet you. Why dont you stay down here and tell us about your first day of collage?" Mom asks, putting on a caring smile.
I sigh, "fine.." I go and sit down at the dinning room table after grabbing a sprite. I open it and take a sip, looking at Shawn.
"So... how was the first day of collage?" Shawn asks, smiling a me. I take another quick sip, "eh, it was okay. I dont really like school" I respond.
He nods slowly, "nobody does. I used to be a teacher but I quit because I wanted to start training climbing"
"oh, my friend goes climbing" I say, smile tugging at my lips.
"oh, what's their name?" He asks, making me smile. I sit up in my chair, "her name's June and she has bright purple hair" I respond. He raises his eye brows and smiles, "I think I know her"
I nod, "she said she has climbing tonight at 6:30" he nods his head in understandment, "oh, I think another coach has her. I took the day off to meet you"
"cool" I get a call from Tommy, I glance at it and decline it. I finally felt welcomed by one of my moms' boyfriends.
"Who was that?" he asks. I shake my head, "just my other friend from collage" I respond, placing my phone down on the table.
"anything about you?" He asks, mug being placed infront of him. I think about telling him about streaming, desiding to do it.
"I stream on Twitch and sometimes post on YouTube" I take another sip of my sprite.
He chuckles, "what do you stream-slash-post?" I look up at him, "Minecraft, bedwars and survival, on my SMP or just on random worlds"
he nods, "nice. I sometimes play video games too, on my X-Box" I laugh, "I play on my pc. Would you like to see it? It's one of my favourite things that I own"
he laughs, "yeah, of course" I get up, grabbing my phone and sprite. I guesture him to follow me and I jump up the stairs.
when I reach my room, I open my door and reveal my green pc and my tropical inspired wallpaper.
