24 || mother

As I leave the resturant, I let everyone go infront of me. My mother had followed me out and I just wanted to get it over with it.

"mom-"

"mother"

"mom, why do you even want to talk to me?"

"because you're my daughter!"

"and that I've moved in with my dad! Who cares about me more than you ever will!"

"Lilly!"

"shut up!"

"Lilly! How dare you speak to your mother like that!"

"you're not my mom, and never will! You've hurt me in so many ways I can't explain! So no- you are not my mom!"

"I will always be your mother!"

"no!" I yell, tears swelling up in my eyes.

"Lilly!" My mom says again.

"just- stop! You don't know my name anymore! I just wan to forget you ever existed so I can give up this weight on my soulders!" Tears stream down my face as my mom stays silent.

"Li-"

"just leave! Cheat on dad again!" I scream, running away. I run to the park, and sit down underneath the same tree Tommy and I were under a few days ago.

I hide my face in my knees, tears streaming uncontrolably down my face. I listen to the laughter of children playing at the park, the noise of cars driving by.

my phone dings repeatedly, but I ignore it and put it on silent. I didn't want anybody to see me like this. An over dramatic, covered in emotions person. Not the happy girl they all know me as. And the opisite of what they know me as.

"Lilly..." a soft voice says infront of me. I don't look up, staying silent. The person sits down beside me, "Lilly... it's Coral. Talk to me.."

I look up at her, wiping the tears on my face. Coral gives me a hug, "what happened? Tommy said your mom showed up?"

"uh- yeah.." I say through weeps. Coral rubs my back, "everyone says they've been texting and calling you. Why haven't you picked up?"

"I didn't want them to see me like this," I mumble, looking at all the concerned notifications from everyone.

"oh, Lilly..." Coral sighs, giving me a reasuring smile, "nobody would care if you were like this. Everybody has emotions."

"I- I just feel like a baby," I sniff. Coral shakes her head, "you're not a baby. You know, I have a problematic mom too."

"really?"

Coral starts explaining what her mom was like, explaining how her mom was stalking Morria, how her mom was awful and didn't care for them. It made me feel better in a way, like I now know somebody else is going through the same thing as me.

"I'm gonna text them you're here," Coral says after a bit of silence. "no!" I say quickly. She looks at me, "why not?"

"just- just get Tommy here," I say quietly. Coral nods, "why don't you text him?"

"okay.."

Tommy... I'm at the park...
please don't tell anyone and don't have anyone come with you.
I just want you.

of course, Lilly.
I'll be right there.

I put my phone down beside me, waiting for Tommy to show up. Coral gets up, "I'm gonna go. You okay alone?" I nod.

Tommy sits down beside me, "hey, Lil's... are you okay?" I quickly wrap my arms around his waist and place my head on his shoulder, "I don't wanna talk about it. Just sit with me?"

Tommy stays silent, then wraps his arms around me, pulling me onto his lap, "okay."

I close my eyes, embrasing Tommys grasp. Tommy's chest rises and falls as he breaths, and he has a hand in my hair, playing with it slowly. Tommy hums softly in my ear.

I feel all my emotions wash away, when Tommy places a soft kiss on my forehead, "my beautiful Lilly..."

I smile, letting myself relax in his arms. Oh how I was so lucky to have this amazing boy as my own...
