Chapter 8

-2 months later-

It's been a while since everyone knew about Kion and Fuli's relationship. Everyone accepted them and didn't have a problem with it so no weirdness.

Not only that but Kion had to tell Fuli something important that took her by surprised.

"Soon I'm retiring." Kion said.

"WHAT!" Fuli said standing.

Yep he knew that was happening.

"Who will lead? Who will take responsibility."

"Vitani."

Fuli just turns pacing around.

"Fuli, I know what you're thinking but I thought hard about this."

"Oh did you? Cause it sounds to me you wasn't thinking hard enough!"

"Babe don't be like this. I seen Vitani in action. I seen her lead, fight, she's changed, all the outlanders."

"You know the roar will be her responsibility right?"

"Yes."

"She will have to go through everything you went through."

"Yes."

"And you're positive?"

"Yes."

"You sure she won't use it the way Scar did?"

"Yes. I'm sure about everything."

Fuli sighs knowing he's not changing his mind.

"Fine."

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me."

"Worth a shot."

Kion lays next to his girlfriend giving her kisses but was interrupted by an alert.

"Kion, Janja's and his hyenas are back!" Ono said.

The two jumped running out the lair following the egret.

"Keep going boys! Nothing will stop us now!" Janja laughed.

"Think again, Janja!"

Before Janja could turn Kion already pinned him down.

"You and your hyenas need to leave!" Kion ordered.

"Not a chance we can do whatever we want."

"Not on my turf."

Kion used the roar blasting Janja and his crew back to the outlands.

After the fight they went on traveling the area making sure no outlander was getting in or out.

Then Kion realized something wrong with Fuli. She was hurt, her leg was bleeding.

"Fuli, I think you need to rest." Kion said walking to her.

"I'm fine Kion." Fuli said hoping he would drop the situation but like always he didn't.

"No you're not, you're bleeding. What happened?"

"The dumb hyena bit me, it's not a big deal."

"Fuli, I will drag you if I have to."

The two narrowed their eyes not backing down.

That was until Kion got Fuli on his back walking back to pride rock.

Fuli landing with a umph' and gritted her teeth as Kion dropped her on the ground.

"Kion, seriously, I'm fine. For the last tenth time!" Fuli stands then regrets it when she added pressure.

"Lie all you want Fuli, you're staying here. I'll bring Rafiki when I get back." Kion said walking away. "Make sure she doesn't leave." He said to his sister.

Fuli growls, just can't stand her boyfriend!

"I hate it when he's like this!"

"He gets it from our dad." Kiara said laying in front of her.

"Definitely."

"That's just the way he is, Fuli. He really cares about others no matter what they say."

"Yeah but he goes over the edge sometimes."

"You'll get use to it."

Fuli lays her head down just bored to the bone.

To overprotective.

Just outside of pride rock a vulture listened to everything then flys to the outlands.

In the outlands the hyenas was talking about the plan.

"Everything is going accord to plan." Janja said.

"Uh, what plan Janja?" Cheeze asked.

"The plan to take down Kion fur brains."

"Oh, right right."

Then Mzingo flys down.

"Mzingo, what information you got for us?"

"Kion, is very protective of his mate."

"That's another good idea. If Kion is overprotective, he'll do anything to make sure his mate is safe and unharmed."

"So what's the plan?" Chungu asked.

"We start aiming for Fuli. Hahaha!"

"Sss ow!" Fuli said yanking her arm away.

"It will burn Fuli, but this is the only way to heal it." Rafiki said adding the healing mixture.

After a long day of patrol the lion guard finally got Rafiki to check Fuli.

"How long will it take to heal?" Kion asked, standing near his mate closely.

"Four days. She will need to stay off it or she'll make it worse."

"Got that Fuli."

The cheetah sighs and nods.

"But I can still walk right?" Fuli asked, hoping she can do something other than lay down.

"Yes but not too much."

"Only for five minutes." Kion said.

"Kion, give me a break!"

Kion moves back so did everyone else not expecting for Fuli to lose her cool.

"Fuli-"

"I don't want to hear it."

Rafiki wrapped the grass around her leg then left along with the guard, leaving Kion abd Fuli alone.

"I'm just trying to look out for you Fuli." Kion said.

"Yeah, well you're going over the top." Fuli said still a little heat.

Kion lays his head on hers with his eyes closed.

"I'm sorry, it's just the way I am."

Fuli sighs leaning on him, knowing he's right. He's just trying to look out for her.

"I'll forgive you."

She has no other choice but to deal with it. She's stuck with him.

"Just lower with it and I won't bite you."

"Haha I'll try."
