Chapter 12

It was the next day and everyone came in to see Fuli.

She still hasn't woken up or made any moment for that matter but she was just breathing which is a good sign.

"What if she never wakes up?" Bunga said.

"Kinda hard to say. Rafiki said it was from tiredness, dehydration and hunger some held up for a, week." Ono said.

"I don't think I can wait a week." Kion said looking down at his mate.

"Not everyone waits to a week but they do wake up in times of other days. It depends on the situation they were in."

Kion couldn't wait, he needed her up now.

"Fuli is strong, I'm sure she'll pull through in no time."  Beshte said.

"Let's hope you're right." Kion said.

The guard went on patrol and nothing out of the ordinary happened. That was a first.

"I guess Janja and his crew really did surrender." Bunga said.

"Don't lose your guard, they could've been lying." Kion said

"Yes but lets enjoy this moment of peace."

Bunga caught Kion's glare and took a step back.

Even know Fuli is back Kion won't be calm until she wakes up, which will be tough.

Kiara, Tifu and Zuri were sitting in the Lair laying down by unconscious Fuli.

"Do you think she'll wake up?" Zuri said.

"Pfft, if she does nothing would change." Tifu muttered.

"I heard that." Kiara said before looking back down at the cheetah.

"Come on Kiara, let's go play."

"I'm not in the mood for playing right now."

"Do you really care about Fuli more than us, we known you before her."

"It has nothing to do with that, Fuli is mostly my sister wether you like it or not she's apart of this family."

"Ugh!"

Tifu got up and walked out same with Zuri.

Kiara sighs, she really had enough of their complaints. Kion loves Fuli and soon she might really become her sister. Like her dad said you don't have to be the same species to love one another.

They just need to give Fuli a real chance.

After patrol the guard went back to their homes.

Kion went into the Lair to see his sister asleep by his mate. Nudging his sister, Kiara woke up yawning sitting up.

"Has anything changed?" Kion asked.

Kiara shook her head before jumping off the rock.

"You have to be patient, I know you don't want to but you have to in order for these things to work." Kiara said.

Kion nodded. Kiara left then he looks at Fuli. She was in the same position he brought her in.

"Fuli, please, give me a sign you're getting better." Kion pleaded.

Not no animal made Kion feel this way in his life, ever. But once he met Fuli when they were babies then grew up together he started to feel love. He hated mushy things but Fuli changed that. The male lion he is today is because of Fuli.

He got on the rock laying in his spot. He just needs to be patient.
