Spinning me around to face him, our lips touch and move in sync. Kissing Newt made all your worries go away like you were free from pain, but then reality comes and you realize you live in the Glade. Where all your troubles never go away.

I was not allowed to leave my bed at all the rest of the day. Newt stayed with me refusing to leave my side, we sat on the edge of the bed in the med-jacks hut. I had one leg over Newt's and he was playing with my fingers, I could tell he wanted to ask me something but thought better of it.
"Newt?" I asked, he looked at me raising his eyebrows. "I can tell you want to ask me something. You can ask me."
"You don't have to answer it." He said looking at me and I nodded. "What did you see while you were going through the Changing?"
I took a deep breath I didn't really want to talk about it really, but I wanted Newt to know. He deserved to know, I didn't want to keep anything from him. It scared me though to think of the outside world.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked, I know it's probably something you don't want to remember. I was just curious." He said intertwining our fingers.
"No-no you deserve to know." I said, I sighed trying to remember what I tried to forget. "I saw the outside world."
"What was it like?" He asked.
"It was horrible." I said shaking my head. "It was nothing like I imagined, the world was burned and scorched. The sun had burned everything, there were dead bodies burned to a crisp. There were people consumed by a virus, they were crazy lunatics, with blood spilling out their mouths and sores covering their bodies." As I was explaining, I saw his eyes narrow in horror and I was starting to panic as I told of it. My heart rate was rising again like I was there. "I remember my family, I remember watching my father slowly turn to madness." Tears started to stream down my face. "My mother trying to cover my eyes as he went mad with craziness. She'd whisper in my ears the same thing over and over again. She'd say "It's not him. He loved you." I remember watching her cry every night over my father's sleeping body." My voice cracked with my sobs, I couldn't go on.
"I'm sorry." Newt said pulling me closer, I sobbed into his chest.
"Rose what else do you remember?" I looked up in shock to see Alby standing in the door frame. Was he there the entire time?
"Alby not now." Newt said.
"No Newt, I need to know more." Alby said very pushy.
"Alby, can't you see it bothers her?" Newt asks rubbing my back soothingly. "Don't you have any sympathy?"
"We can worry about her feelings later, I need to know what she knows." He said harshly. "Rose do you remember anything about the creators."
I wipe the tears off my cheeks, I was upset that Alby didn't care that it hurt to remember. "I don't want to remember."
"I don't care, I need to know. It could help us find away out." He said almost yelling. "You can suffer through the pain a little longer."
"Alby! Don't talk to her that way, or I'll bloody fight you!" Newt yelled protectively.
"Newt! Don't talk to me that way!" He said. "Rose what do you remember?"
"I-I remember them, they......." but before I could finish something in my brain went off and before I could stop myself my hands flew up to my neck and I was choking myself. I coughed and gaged I couldn't stop myself, it was like an invisible force was making me do it.
"Rose!" Newt yelled, he tried prying of my hand from my neck, but I wiggled out of his reach. Alby came rushing over holding me down as Newt pried my hands on off my neck. I coughed a sputtered trying to wiggle out of their grasp. Then as quickly as it came the invisible force was gone and I took a deep breath. "What just bloody happened?" Newt asked still holding my arms down by my side.
"I-I don't know." I replied. "I couldn't stop myself, it was like something was controlling me. It was like they didn't want me telling you something."
"I don't believe that." Alby said scoffing at me.
"Alby! Why are you so rude?" Newt asked angry at Alby's bluntness.
"Unlike you, I don't care about her feelings or anyone else's. The only thing I care about is finding a way out, even if that means she has to remember every horrible detail." He said practically spitting in Newt's face. He stormed towards the door before turning around angrily. "Don't tell anyone about this, they don't need anymore reason to worry or lose hope." And he left the room with no further words.
"You ok?" Newt asked removing his grip from my arms. I laid down in frustration letting out a deep sigh.
"I'm fine." I said. "I don't think I'll ever sleep again."
