I sat against a tree with my head in my knees, I never wanted to see another face again. Dean had humiliated me and I will never ever tolerate his crap again. I sat there for at least two hours before I heard someone yell my name. I didn't answer. I heard rustling of leaves, but before I could move so they wouldn't find me, Newt came into my view. He sat down next to me putting an arm around me, pulling me into his chest.

"Love, are you alright?" He asked in a loving way.

"I'm better now." I said leaning closer to him. He made me have a feeling of security, like nothing bad could happen while I was with him.

"I heard what happened." He said rubbing my back softly. "If Dean ever tries something like that again just come straight to me."

"I know, I just didn't think he could be such a jerk." I replied.

"Only the worst of the worst would try to harm you." He said kissing my forehead. Butterflies filled my stomach.

"And you're too good for me." I said in a whisper as I looked up at him. He leaned down and our lips touched softly. I kissed back until I was on his lap and we were completely making out. The butterflies in my stomach grew larger but I ignored them, and leaned into his chest more and more. We eventually pulled apart, and I laid my head against his chest and he held me tight, like he would never want to let go.

"If only life could always be this amazing." I said softly.

"It is, when I'm with you." He said, laying his chin on my head.

The next day was filled with more work and more sweat, it had become hotter then usual. I have spent the morning in the gardens with Newt, who insisted that I stay with him so he could keep an eye on me. He wanted to make sure I was safe from Dean, and I didn't object. Newt and I went to lunch and mostly sat in peace, our fingers intertwined. I had seen Charlie and he immediately walked the other direction. So I pushed off the bench and stood.

"I'm going to talk to Charlie." I said to Newt, kissing him on the cheek. I followed Charlie until he stopped in his tracks.

"I know you're following me." He said turning around.

"Yeah I am." I said with a smile. "I want to talk to you."

"So now you want to talk to me?" He said rolling his eyes. "Gotten bored of talking to Newt, have you?"

"No, I just like to talk to you." I said. "Charlie what's wrong we used to be friends, what did I do?"

"Nothing, I just wish you would spend more time with me." He said sighing.

"I know, I'm sorry." I said pulling him into a hug. "I just have wanted to spend time with Newt, it's not because I don't like you."

"I know you're just in love." He said in antagonist way, pulling away from me. "Love does that to some people."

"And since when have you been an expert in love?" I asked laughing at him.

"What can I say, I just know." He said raising his eyebrows up and down. I laughed harder, I don't know why I haven't spent time with him more often, I missed his sense of humor. I herd my name being called from behind me, I turned around to see the one person who could ruin my day.

Dean.

He looked angry and his eyes were bloodshot, he held a knife in his hand. My heart sank as he yelled with utter hatred. "I told you, you'd regret not choosing me!" I saw him raise his knife, like he was about to through it. Everything happened in slow motion.

I heard Newt scream my name as Dean through the knife. It turned in the air making its way towards my heart. I wanted to move to get out of the way but my body was frozen. Then before I could do anything Charlie had jumped in front of me. Like everything went full speed again and I stared down at Charlie with a knife through his heart.
