Chapter 3: Lunch Date

Dean's POV*

"Wow, I can not belive he just up and ditched like that." Margo said as she walked beside me down the boadwalk. She had her red crop top and jean shorts on over her bathing suit, and her hair was up in a cute messy bun. She looks so beautiful.

"I know! And all for a hook up with some rando." I said in disgust.

"Ugh. Why are you even friends with him still?" She asked me.

"Babe, we've been friends forever. I can't just drop him because he ditched us. I mean he doesn't have a boyfriend, and he just wants love."

"No, it's his own fault. There are lots of gay guys he could date, but he doesn't want any of them. He only wants you." She said pointedly.

"And he'll never have me babe, so I guess he keep on having meaningless hook ups and ditching us."

she sighed. "I guess so."

"Hey, just forget about him for now alright? Why don't we go out for lunch?" I suggested looking at her and smiling. I offered her my hand.

She smiled back and placed her hand in mine. "Yeah let's."

We headed down the board until we got to Margo's favourite spot when we came down to the beach. It was a little ocean side restaurant that specialized in all things seafood. She absolutely loved coming here.

We entered the restaurant, and waited to be seated.

"Are you going to get your usual this time?" I asked her as we sat down in the waiting area.

"I dunno... " She said thinking about it. "I heard they have some new garlic Shrimp kabobs, but they are huge! I really want to get that this time." She told me.

"That does sound good! I think I'm going to get the king crab. I alway love how the cook it here."

She smiled. "You are so predictable."

We got seated pretty quickly, and sat down in a booth near the window, and got handed two menus.

The waiter who sat us, asked for our drink order. I told him I wanted a sprite, and Margo ordered a Shirley temple.he jotted it down and then disappeared.

"Oh jeez. I know I said I wanted to get the shrimp scewers, but this lobster linguini looks good as well. Now I can't decide!" She cried.

"How about you just get the shrimp this time, and next time we come we you get the linguini."

She thought about it. "Yeah, I can live with that." She decided.

I laughed. "You're so cute."

She smiled, and blushed. "Shh, no."

I came up close to her and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "I love you Margo. I'm so lucky to have you as my girlfriend."

Her face went even more red, and she pushed me away. "You're making me so embarrassed!"

"I know. That's the idea." I continued smooching her all over.

She got all flustered and looked up at me with her beautiful brown eyes. "Are you done now?" She asked red faced.

"Yes, but I want a kiss back." I told her smirking.

"Fine." She said still flustered.

I placed my hand on her cheek and gave her a sweet smile before putting my lips on hers and kissing her.

She kissed back, and I could feel her warmth.

God, I just loved her so much.

We placed our food orders a little after, and it took about half an hour for it get cooked and brought to our table. When it did come, we ate, talked about our future together, and simply enjoyed each other's company. It was a nice change of pace. Without Payton there, we actually got to have some quality time, which we didn't get to do often.

Once we had finished our meal and paid, we walked back to my apartment.
