Dean's POV* Wednesday Night

I arrived back at our apartment, feeling a bit more confident then I was before.

I headed up in the elevator, and got off at our floor. I then walked down the hallway, feeling the tension growing in my chest. Was he really there? Did he even want to hear what I had to say? Would this even goes the way I was anticipating it to? There were so many things going through my head right now, and the nerves began to return.

I approached our door and unlocked it.

As it swung open, there he was, standing there as Blonde as I remembered him. I could feel a swell of emotions rising within myself.

"Hey Dean, Dinner is on the table. Come on in and join me." He called to me.

I did as he asked, walking over to him smiling like an idiot. "Okay." I told him. I sat down across from him, trying not to make it completely obvious how happy I was to see him again.

"Dig in, I worked hard on dinner." He told me. "And no, it isn't spicy, I know how bad your spice tolerance is."

I laughed. "Oh thanks." I said sarcastically. "You're basically calling me a weakling."

"Not basically, I am calling you a weakling." He said and laughed.

"Gee thanks." I laughed. "You are such a good friend."

"The greatest." He beamed proudly. "Now shut up and eat! it's going to get cold!" He demanded, and shoved a taco into my mouth.

I grabbed it startled, and started chewing.

"There we go." He said happily, and started eating as well.

We ate for a couple of minutes, not saying too much. We both needed this time before the conversation we knew was ahead of us. We took this short moment to gather our thoughts, and ease our way into heavier topics.

When we finished up eating, we put the dishes in the dishwasher, and cleaned up what mess we had made.

"Do you want to talk in my room?" He asked, as he put the last of the food away in the fridge.

"Yeah that works for me." I told him.

"Okay cool." He replied. "Lets go." He left the kitchen and walked through the apartment to his bedroom.

I followed after him.

He opened his door, and entered his room. He then climbed into his bed sitting up against the wall, patting the spot beside himself. "Come sit."

I did, I entered and climbed in sitting next to him.

"Hi." He said almost awkwardly.

"Hey." I said back. "I know that everything has been a lot lately, so I want to start off with apologizing. Payton, I'm sorry."

"Dean you don't need to apologize." He softly. "Nothing that has happened has remotely been your fault. We both made decisions, and that's what happens when you make decisions, they have consequences."

I smiled thinly. "You're right about that part, but that's not what I'm apologizing for. I'm apologizing for giving you so many mixed messages. I want to clear the air and tell you exactly how I feel right here and now."

I could visibly see him tense, and fear rose into his eyes. "Okay..." Was all he said.

I took hold of his hands. "Payton, we have been friends for so, so long. We've seen each other at our worse, and even at our best. I know things as of late have been rocky, and a bit unexpected, but I've been so happy that these moments have been spent with you."
