Dean's POV* Sunday
I missed Payton...
I think this was the longest we'd ever been away from each other in quite some time. We have been living together since college, and I'd gotten used to our schedule. It was so lonely being in the apartment without him...
I walked home from work that night wondering if Payton and I would ever be able to fix this. There wasn't anything I wanted more then for us to go back to how we used to be way before any of this. I'm talking about how we were when we were in high school, college, back when we were inseparable. Payton would come to my sports events and cheer me on, and I'd go to every single one of his plays and dance competitions. We went shopping together, hung out at each other's houses, and even shared a bed. That's how it had always been, and now I was missing it agonizingly.
I did something when I got back from work that surprised even me. I went into Payton's bedroom...
I stared around the room, remembering all that had happened the past three years of living here with him. We had cried in here together, ate snacks while binging shows together, and even made love for the first and only time in here.
I went over to his bed and climbed in. I rested under the canopy and put my face in his pink pillows. They smelt like him...
My heart ached. I never thought I'd miss him this much.
I stayed there for a long time, hoping that maybe being here would bring him back magically, but no such thing happened. I was alone, and nothing in this moment was going to change that.

I woke up the next morning to the sound of footsteps.I jolted awake. Who the fuck could that possibly be?
I scrambled to my feet and snatched the closest thing that could be used as a weapon. A butter knife? Whatever! It would work.
I slowly crept to the door of Payton's room and peered into the hallway. On the other side of the apartment I could see the figure of a person I definitely did not know. I started into the hallway.
"Who the hell are you and why are you in my apartment?" I roared at them. "How the hell did you get in here?" I started walking closer to them.
He turned towards me looking confused. "Oh sorry, I didn't know anyone was home."
"If you don't answer me, I'm going to call the police!" I warned, showing him I was armed as I got closer. (it wasn't very intimidating though, seeing as though I only had a butter knife...)
"Ah sorry, let me introduce myself. I'm Ben." He said raising his hands to show he meant no harm. He also pulled out Payton's set of keys where I could visibly see them. "Payton asked me to stop by the apartment today. He needed his make up bag, but got busy doing some errands today. He asked me to stop by and get it, I hope you don't mind."
I put the knife down. "Jesus! I Nearly stabbed you!" I yelled.
He looked at the butter knife in my hand peculiarly, but didn't make mention of it. "Ah I truly am sorry. You must be Dean. Payton has told me a lot about you." He said now lowering his hands.
Payton talked about me to Ben? He probably had nothing good to say.. "Ah I see. So you must be Payton's new boyfriend?" I asked him.
"Yes." He replied "I wish we could have met at a more appropriate time."
I mentally rolled my eyes. When would an appropriate time be? It's not like Payton was going to introduce us anyway. "It's fine." I said dismissively. "Anyways, you came to grab Payton's bag of makeup? His room is over this way, follow me." I gestured for him to follow.
