Chapter Sixty One

"Hi" Mia waved shyly walking out onto the garden area of the cabin where everyone was gathered, in groups chatting, the barbecue was well underway, and the smell was delicious. Bare bulb fairy lights hung from poles, twinkling in the breeze.

"Congratulations!" Jiwoo hugged Mia tightly.

"Thank you"

"Come give me a hug. I knew you would be my sister in law one day" Geongmin beamed as Mia hugged her.

"Oh I got you this, it's for tomorrow" Eunji handed Mia a little package.

"Tomorrow?"

"Your birthday silly!"

"Oh, I had forgotten, with everything" Mia laughed.

"You'll be a quarter of a century-old" Areum smiled thoughtfully.

"Yeah, I've put your gift inside. I can't believe you forgot"

"Me neither! My first birthday in Korea, and with these guys, and you and you, and everyone"

"And you're engaged, pregnant, look absolutely amazing and have your own women's centre"

"So much has happened in a year..."

"Yes, they have, and you have become a warrior woman. Here's to your last day of being 24" Soohyun handed Mia a bottle of non-alcoholic cider and raised her own.

"I remember when I was 24..." Yoongi smiled.

"Do you mean 24 or 224?" Mia winked.

"Hey! Young people celebrate more than we ever did, in my day..."

"Seriously, you're such an old man" Mia kissed his cheek.

"That was the cheesiest thing you've ever said in the three hundred years you've roamed the earth and I beg you never to say it again" Mia rolled her eyes as the girls giggled.

"I was only coming to ask if you wanted me to bring you some food or if you want to come and choose what you would like?"

"I'll come and have a look, I'm starving. Have you eaten?"

"I've been nibbling here and there, mainly at the lamb ribs. They're good, and there are some very good mutton burgers"

"Oooh I like mutton"

The boys had retreated to the fire pit with their Brothers and friends and the girls were all in the kitchen sitting on comfy sofas with blankets wrapped around them. Most of the other people had left already.

"Oh I forgot to ask you, I need an ob-gyn? Jin said yours was good"

"He is. I was supposed to give you his number. Message me tomorrow and remind me, I've had too many tequila sunrises to see my phone clearly"

"I will" Mia stretched.

"Boobs, back and ribs?"

"They were ok until a few days ago, but honestly I've never had massive boobs but they've practically doubled in size. I feel like I'm going to knock someone out if I turn around too quickly"

"I ended up wearing a zip-up sports bra for the last month. Mine got so big I could use them as a chin rest. If they weren't so damn sensitive Joong could have found a new hobby"

"They're ok sensitive wise but I'm so horny all the damn time and if I'm not horny I'm crying like a baby or snoring like a walrus"
