Part 36

*PETERS POV*

I wake up in the early morning just as the sun starts rising. I can't go back to sleep so I go to the kitchen and make myself a sandwich "hey Pete" Kate says while adjusting something on her bow "whyre you up so early?" I ask as I sit on the sofa and let the cold air rush through my hair "couldn't sleep, you?" she says as I get up and make myself a sandwich "I dunno, I guess I just woke up and couldn't sleep again" I say taking a bite from the sandwich and sitting back down and turn the TV on. Halfway through an episode of the Simpsons I hear Wanda walk in with lizzie in her arms while having bags under her eyes "mornin Pete" she says sitting down and kissing my cheek "mornin" I respond before playing with lizzie and resting my head on wandas head "I could go back to sleep" she says while yawning "once Tom wakes up we'll get that uh surprise later" I say as I run my hand through wandas hair "you mean a C-A-T?" she spells out while I just nod "yeah" hang on what'd we do about lucky? As much as I like that dog he's a nightmare around other animals. As on cue he walks over and starts licking my face "get off lucky" Clint says as he walks into the living room before sitting down and instantly falling asleep again "Kate, get the ice cold water bucket" I say as she briefly leaves and comes back with a bucket full of water and dumps it on Clint "son. Of a bi-" me and Wanda both give him a death stare "sorry, sorry, I'll shut up" he says before watching the TV. Not long after Clints awakening I start hearing Tom crying "ill get him" I say before getting up and hobbling to our room "hey buddy, whyre you so sad?" I say bouncing him up and down as we enter the living room "morning Tom" Wanda says as I sit down with him. After sitting and talking for a bit me and Wanda put our jackets on as well as the twins and go to the pet shop.

*1 hour later*

After arriving and being right outside the shop we put Tom and lizzie in a trolley and enter the building. "soo see anything you two like!" Wanda says chuckling at the excitement on their faces. We head to the cat area (I've never been to a pet shop just go with it) and we see loads of small kittens around us "it's your choice, go nuts" I say as I take Tom out of the trolley and look at the cats with him.
"what about these two" I say looking at two small kittens, one with white furr and one with black, grey and white furr "see anything?" Wanda asks walking over with lizzie as we read the names of the cats "rasmus and taura" (my actual cats)

take lizzie from Wanda so she can have a look at the kittens while stretching a weak hand out to pet them "want these ones?" I say as lizzie and Tom shine bright smiles "I think that's a yes" Wanda says laughing at the twins adorable faces "ill take them to the checkout while you get pet toys and stuff" I say kissing wandas cheek "cool see you in a bit" she says taking the twins and going to get food and toys for the cats "hi I'd like t-mj!? I didn't know you worked here!" I say as mj looks up from her book "oh hey Pete whatre you doing here?" she asks as Wanda and the twins walk over "I'm getting the twins a pet" I say as Wanda waves to mj from behind "ah I see, and how are you Wanda?" she asks while scanning through stuff "I'm good, you?" she says mj quickly hugs the twins "I'm good, wish I didn't need to work today but otherwise pretty good" she says as the twins poke their fingers through the cat box thing (fun fact: taura translates to thor) i take the cats and we wave goodbye before heading back to the compound.

*1 hour later*

"where back!" I yell before going into the living room "hey guys" I say to everyone "hey you lot where were you?" Nat asks "hey Clint, can you hold lucky back for a second" I say as Clint tiredly hobbles over and holds lucky by the collar "sure but uh W-holy sh-" he says as I let rasmus Nd taura out and they instantly start running around "I'm surprised luckys not going crazy" Wanda says looking at the dog who actually seems quite calm"wanda says as everyone watches the cars run around in circles, groot even managed to climb onto taura and started riding her like a horse "groot be careful" gamora says watching the "race" unfold while I'm pretty sure rocket was placing bets on the cats and groot. "OK that's enough racing you two, here's some food" I say using my powers to float the cat food into a bowl in the opposite corner to lucky "Where's Friday and Karen?, I haven't seen them much since I made them their own bodies" I say before I see the two former ai's standing in the doorway "apologise for not making sppearences, we were getting used to having bodies" Friday says sitting on the arm of a chair "it's fine Fri" I say while tickling lizzie "does anyone want to have a movie marathon" Karen says "I've never experienced one and thought it would be fun" she says as we all start taking suggestions on what film to watch.

*4 hours later*

After our film marathon we realise its 21:00 how long did did it take to get the cats!? I think before taking Wanda and the kids to bed before quickly leaving the cats something to eat and drink while we sleep. After I go back to our room I see Wanda with her head dangling off the edge of the bed with Tom asleep on her chest while lizzie is asleep on the other side normally. I push wandas head onto he bed properly and move her to the side before using my powers to float the twins into their cribs. "goodnight wands" I say kissing her sweetly before wrapping my arms around her and drifting of to sleep.
