Part 45

*PETERS POV*

as my eyes flutter open I see Wanda nestled into my side fast asleep. I try to sit up but the pain from the fight yesterday course's through me "p-pete you ok?" wanda says getting off me to make sure I'm OK "yeah I'm fine just a bit sore" I say before Bruce comes in "good to see you awake" he says going to his computer and doing some kinda science equation. "what're you working on?" I say as Wanda helps me sit up "thanks" I say to her before waiting for Bruce's response "its a long shot but I think I might be able to create a permanent cure for your overloads" he says and I instantly light up at the idea "Well don't let us stop you" Wanda says pushing herself of the "bed" in the room and helping me up after. "thanks Bruce" I say as Wanda puts my arm round her shoulder to help me. We walk out of the lab and see Nat holding Tony's hand crying "am I *cough* intetupting something?" I say as Nat instantly looks up and hugs me "your alive!" she says trying not to choke on a sob "am I? I haven't noticed" I say returning the hug and I see Tony looking like he hasn't slept in ages "you OK?, you look like crap" I say trying not to laugh at his facial expression. "oh yeah I'm perfectly fine" he says getting up and giving me a hug as well "cmon let's greet the others with you presence" Tony says as we all walk in I see Clint hanging from the vents reading a book but not really paying much attention to it, kates watching TV but again not paying Attention to it, Steve and bucky were talking in the corner about something, Scott was trying to steal Sam's cookies, thor was eating pop-tarts while me, Wanda, Tony and Nat where standing in the doorway. "hey guys" I say waving with the arm that wasn't round Wanda "Pete!" Kate says running up to me and hugging me "hey Kate" I say returning the hug before sitting down "Scott stop trying to steal Sam's cookies" I say before attaching a Web to the jar and pulling it towards me so I can keep it away from him "ah cmon I'm hungry and there's no food" he says growing to his normal size "Kate, skittles arrow" I say  and she hands me an arrow with a see through tube that contains loads of skittles "here, go small and these will last you a lifetime" I say chucking it to him expecting him to catch it but it hits him right in the face. "oh shit the twins!" I say remembering to make sure they're OK. I get up and limp to my room and see shuri and mj holding the twins "mj what're you doing here?" I say walking over to see Tom with a smile on his face "I heard you were an idiot and went to fight while you were having an overload so I wanted to come check on you" she says handing me lizzie "hey lizzie you have a nice time with your aunts" I say booping her nose with my finger "m--j, shu-i" she says putting her small hands on my neck "one thing you forgot to mention was that they have powers!" mj says looking at Tom who was creating a ball of red energy in his hand giggling hysterically and lizzie who was now climbing me like I was sport equipment "Wanda! I need you to calm lizzie, she crawling on me" I say as Wanda walks in and starts singing to lizzie while Tom is still holding the ball of energy in his hand "there you go" Wanda says picking lizzie up and I see that she's calm now. "cmon let's get back to the others" she says as we walk back into the living room but this time with the twins, mj and shuri. We sit on the sofa and watch TV for a bit before Bruce comes in looking like a mad scientist "I did it!" he says holding a sarynge in his hand "what's that?" bucky asks biting into a plum "a cure for petes overloads" he says walking over to me "this won't get rid of my powers right?" I say putting my arm out "no, I wouldn't do that" he says before insurting the metal needle into my arm "ouch ouch ouch" I say while the needle goes into my vein "and done" I quickly make sure it didn't get rid of my powers which it hasn't "how do we know it worked?" I say looking at him while wanda is rested into my side "we do things that would trigger an overload" he says before yelling into my ear "it worked!" I say resisting the urge to jump up and down "well my work here is done" he says going back to his lab. "anyone up for a movie night?" (I couldn't think of anything else) everyone nods their heads including the twins so we choose a few films to watch. I use my powers to float a massive bag of popcorn into the microwave so I didn't need to disturb Wanda. After everyone got snack and drinks we all sit down and start the first movie.

*6 hours later*

After about 3 movies we see the time which is 21:49 and we all start heading to bed "cmon Wanda we gotta go too" I say putting Tom and lizzie on her chest so they don't fall as I carry her to the bedroom. "night you two" Wanda and me say as we kiss the twins heads, climb into bed and we hold each other close "goodnight babe" I say pecking her forehead as she wraps her arms round my waist before we both fall asleep together.
