Chapter 21 - Choosing.

S.O.S Pt.1

In Afterlife, Jiaying stumbles out of her office holding her shoulder, then she collapses to the ground. Skye runs to her and kneels beside her.

"Mom? Mom!" Skye lifts her mother up slightly as Lincoln and Taylor arrive and kneels besides her too. "What happened?"

"Gonzales, he–he said that we were-that Inhumans should be exterminated." Jiaying informed them. Gordon arrives along with another man watching. Simmons arrives and stands near Lincoln as other Shield soldiers come to the area. Skye and Taylor look up at Simmons with shock. "He had a gun." Skye goes to get up, but Jiaying holds her back. "No, stay with me, please. Gordon will take care of him." She winces and looks to Lincoln. "Get everyone to safety." He looks at the people now gathered in a group around them.

"Everyone, this way!" Lin shouted. He waves the people watching away as Simmons kneels by Jiaying.

"Let me take a look at that." Simmons offered.

"Shield's done enough. We have our own doctors. I'll be fine in time. Right now, we have more pressing concerns." Jiaying dismissed. Taylor looks up at Simmons.

"You should get out of here." Taylor tells her.

"What about you two?" Jemma asks.

"We..." Simmons stands and address the two Shield soldiers by her.

"Come on." They all take off as Jiaying gives a long look to Gordon. He and the other man walk away. Lincoln is running to where Taylor, Skye and Jiaying are, he kneels besides them.

"We need to get you to the doctors." Lin tells her. They help get Jiaying up.

"Okay." They hear the noise of an engine and look up to see the Quinjet hovering over the city. "Come on! Help me!" She, Taylor and Lincoln pull Jiaying away from the plane as it opens its missile area and fires. Skye, Jiaying, Taylor and Lincoln all duck their heads as they run from the jet, and it blows up buildings around them. One of the blasts knocks all four of them off their feet. Taylor lifts her head up hearing a ringing sound in her ears from the explosion. She looks over her shoulder as the Quinjet files away. She, Skye and Lincoln get to their feet helping Jiaying up.

"Why would you two let them do this to us? I thought you were on our side." Jiaying told the girls.

"We are. W–we had no idea, I swear." Taylor defends.

"Jiaying! I'm here." Alisha shouts.

"We got to get you out of here." Lincoln states. Lincoln and Alisha turn Jiaying away from Skye and Taylor and walk her away as Jiaying casts a blaming look back at the girls. The sound of a gunshot pulls Skye out of her thoughts as the man in front of her goes down. She turns to look and finds a Shield solider behind her. Skye throws out her arm and uses her powers to rattle the gun apart in the soldier's hand. Taylor walks to him, and he throws a punch, which she deflects and starts hitting him. She quickly takes the solider to the ground.

"Taylor, stop!" May runs over to her.

"What have you done?" Taylor asked, standing in front of Skye protectively.

"That's what we're trying to figure out, but you need to stand down." May told her.

"Stand down?!? After Gonzalez just shot my mom and declared war on us? You're the one who needs to stand down." Skye told her, emerging from behind Taylor.

"I need to see Gonzalez." May demanded. She walks closer to Skye and Taylor. "Where is he? We can fix this."

"It's too late to fix this." Taylor spat. May scans the girls and sees them ready to fight. "Now take your men and get the hell out of here."

"Not until I see Gonzalez." She goes to walk past Skye, but Taylor grabs May by her arm stopping her. May quickly shrugs off Taylor's hand. Skye pulls up her fists and strikes twice at May, she defects the first hit then holds on to Skye's arm after the second. Skye gets her arm back and strikes at May a couple more times, May ducks the blows and shoves against Skye's off balance back. Taylor throws a punch, May catches her arm but this time spins her around and gets her in a locked grip around her neck.

"I don't want to hurt either of you!" May says.

"You won't." Taylor replies. Taylor throws her hips back causing May to lose her grip. Once free Taylor throws a punch that hits May in the face. May tastes the blood and puts a finger to her cut lip then puts on her 'Angry May' face and turns back to Skye who has her fists up waiting. Taylor gets into her fighting pose. May pulls her fists up too and the women fight. They're pretty evenly matched with each one getting in hits, but May's hits are harder and do more damage. She sweeps Skye's legs out from under causing her to land hard on the ground.

"Stop wasting time, Skye. Taylor, help me fix this." Skye gets back to her feet as Taylor speaks up.

"I'm sorry, May. You're not welcome here." She lifts up her arm and hits May with her aerokinesis, knocking May off her feet sending her spinning through the air and landing hard on the ground knocking her out.
