Extra: The First Win

Reina, clad in a flowy light yellow dress trembles in excitement as she waits for her group members to exit the van. Her nerves shakes and rumbles her body, and her mind is in a million different places as she stands in front of Music Bank.

Their new song, 'Serenade' had been doing better than they thought it would, and Taewoo woke them up with the fact that they were nominated for first place. Everyone had pitched out of their beds and rushed through the house in happiness. This was their third mini album since debut, and the previous two times they were always so close to the prize, but never got it.

Although they knew that there was a possibility that they wouldn't win it once again, since they were up against famous rookie group, and their hoobaes Itzy; they still had hope that they would prevail this time. That it was the day that they'd get their first win.

Reina was the first to finish getting ready, since she has a bathroom in her room, and sat patiently in her cute yellow dress; waiting for her group mates. Taewoo had came up with a system to let everyone know where they were at all times, since the area is a big place and there are also many other artists there as well.

It's easy to find the boys, since they usually tower over everyone else around them, but finding the girls would sometimes be an issue. Well, finding Jihye was. Whenever they had a break in between she would always wander off, and only return whenever there was food or they had live recordings to follow up with. Their leader can be quite the handful.

Anyways.

Both Jihye and Hui Yin exits the car with bright smiles, and stand beside their youngest as they wait for Caleb to wake Kendrick up. Kendrick always falls asleep during the car ride to the music shows. Always. After a few minutes, Kendrick walks out of the little van rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. A few girls coo at the site and then the cameras just start clicking.

Taewoo gives everyone their bags, and he lets Junho close the door behind them.

"Bye Junho hyung!" Caleb says happily, and everyone laughs when Junho blushes and sends his salutations.

They all walk towards the little marking on the road thing, smiling happily at their fans who seems to have doubled in size the last time they saw them. A few fanboys shout out to Hayato in Japanese, like they always do. Like always, Hayato blushes and smiles back at them. This time they high five and cause the girls around them to laugh at their antics.

There are a lot more fangirls in the crowds this time around, and Reina makes sure to laugh happily for the fangirl who asked to see her beautiful dimpled smile. After a while of picture taking, they all head for the building to start the long day.

The team doesn't like to admit it, but they are all workaholics. They love the thrill of rising up early, and working to the bone. They love seeing people smile at their works, and they are always happy to hear about their fans' stories. Sometimes, and only sometimes, they would be kind of tired with overbearing and constant overlapping schedules, but they really enjoy doing their job.

After many agonizing hours of rehearsal after rehearsal after rehearsal, they finally got a chance to perform live. Their fans scream and shout as they enter the stage, and they greet them as if they're seeing their friends after a long time.

A fangirl screams out "Reina let's forget Felix and run away together!" and it causes the crowd to laugh fully. After a few minutes of talking, the crew calls out for standby, and the boys gather around to throw Reina in the air.

Serenade is unfortunately, a stunt filled song, and although their fans are used to it, they still get concerned when stunts happen in the songs.

After three worry filled, but happy minutes; the song is finished, and the six teens pant for breath after the cameras stop rolling. It was Hui Yin's turn to get the ending fairy, and she forgot her initial plan for it and just smiled happily at the camera.

In what felt like a flash, they had their rest in the dressing room, ate their food, and ventured onto the stage for the official announcement of today's winner.

Today, they look at the screen in front of them. Today their hands are clasped together as they hope and pray. Today, the gleam in their eyes scream hope.

"And today's winner is ..." The MC for the show says into the mic.

Itzy and Destiny's numbers even out, and for a second it was still. And then, it happened. The numbers on Destiny's side began to change once more.

"Destiny! Congratulations!" The MCs shouts out altogether, and the confetti sounds off after the proclamation. Destiny, however stood in shock. Destiny couldn't believe their eyes.

Jihye knocks out of her stupor and grasps onto the trophy, and the microphones for the encore is placed into their hands by the staff.

Jihye, still sort of shocked, stumbles through her words as she sends her thanks to all of the staff at the building and to everyone else that helped. Kendrick holds Caleb in his arms as the elder cries softly, and Hayato has the biggest and brightest smile on his face for all the world to see.

Hui Yin begins to speak after Jihye had ended her ment and thanked each and every fan in attendance for the award. Reina is the only person who stays still, eyes wide and mind slow to react.

The microphone in her hand is gripped tightly, and her mind runs a mile a minute; not really sure if what she heard is real. Hayato taps her on the back, and slowly, the tears fall from her eyes as well.

Hayato laughs gleefully as he takes her in his arms, and he smiles once the music plays for them to sing their encore song.

"You need to sing Rei." Hayato whispers in her ear.

He laughs when she shakes her head and continues to cry. He grips his mic with his other hand and sings for her instead.

Reina continues to cry as they all run through the encore of their song.

Reina continues to cry as she realizes how far she has come.

Reina continues to cry as she realizes that this is their first win.

hi ! lol i think i did say that i have a few extras to dish out. thank you to every single person that has clicked on this book. whether you continued on til the end, or you stopped along the way, thank you for reading. this is the first book i have ever made online and this book will forever hold a special place in my heart.

it sucks, 2018 me was wilding and the romance scenes are super cringy, but i shouldn't change it because it shows my growth as a person and as a writer.

here's another little extra (since i barely even wrote about their work and gave them MULTIPLE OFF DAYS).

idk how much 'll do but i do hope i can do more. next one will be about my favorite little smarty Eli !
