Chapter 32: You & I

The ride back home was so irritatingly silent that it made her want to scream.

Felix just unexpectedly dropped that "talk about us" bomb, and it made her so silent.

He had fallen asleep as soon as he went inside the car, probably exhausted with everything that was going on.

But, she couldn't think without having all of her thoughts scatter and huddle together, throwing her off track of them.

At first, the aura of betrayal from her family lingered in her mind, and she couldn't help, but wonder as to why it was there in the first place. She wanted to scream and shout and kick and cry because she felt like that aura was solely projected for her and to her.

Then comes her long time crush, who she has had two kisses with, and practically helped in making her smile and laugh. Feel comfortable and be happy while she was mourning over someone who looked way better than expected.

I mean, it could be because of the fact that she waited an entire week, but in the end, who really knows.

But, back to the important stuff.

Felix, her kind of long time crush, just said it out of nowhere, and she wanted to know as to what he was getting at exactly.

Was he meaning, moving a step forward in their complicated, yet somewhat forbidden relationship, or was he meaning, talking about what we can and can't do, once again? And she truly didn't know which one to lean on.

"Rei Rei are you okay? You've been thinking for an awfully long time, and those wrinkles don't look too good on your head." Taewoo said, pulling her out of her thoughts and sighed.

"I honestly don't know." She said, slumping in defeat at the fact.

Thinking about everything without absolute answers, will only make her head hurt in the long run.

"So, when do you think I can get back in my line of work?" She asked, batting her eyelashes prettily.

"You'll have to talk to boss about that Rei Rei. You did give us quite a scare, and we only want to make sure you're 100% okay before you go and perform again." He said, trying his best not to stop the car, since he loves to talk to people face to face.

"Also," he continued, "How's Adrian?"

"We don't speak of him at the moment." She suddenly blurted out. Causing Felix to wake up and Taewoo to almost run the red light.

"Is something wrong? Did he say something?" Taewoo suddenly had so many questions to ask.

"I want to say that nothing's wrong, but I can feel that it is and I don't like it." She sighed once again, still confused about the entire thing.

"The entire atmosphere was kind of off, and it was like they were all acting weird. Adrian was also performing better than expected after a week of being shot really close to the lung and heart, but he could just be someone who recovers quickly." Felix analyzed, speaking everything he observed.

"Adrian is not one to recover quickly. He got knocked down, bruised his diaphragm, and broke his right leg. His leg took eight weeks instead of the average six and he still has problems with his diaphragm even now." She pitched in.

"I just don't get it." The wrinkles on her forehead seemingly multiplied, and she was too deep in thought to notice that they had arrived to the building.

"Practice is probably ending late again, so when I reach home, I'm going to text you." Felix said, watching as his crush just gave him a wave.

He laughed a bit, gaining her attention, and smiled before closing the door.

"We need to have a talk."
