There was rhythmic beeping when I came too. Slowly, I opened my eyes just to close them, bringing my arm up  to shield my eyes from the fluorescent lighting. I blinked a few times as I waited for my eyes to adjust to the lighting. Once they did, I let my arm fall back to my side as I stared at the ceiling, listening to the heart monitor sound out every time there was a thud in my chest.

I knew the room. It was the one I woke up in last time I was stupid and didnt listen. Sitting up slowly, my head throbbed subtly at the change of blood flow. I looked at the IVs in my arm; one with what I could only assume was morphine, and another that was feeding blood into my arm.

I must have lost a lot if I was in need of a transfusion.

Both my wrists were bandaged in white cloth, making them feel stiff and less functional

It almost felt like Deja Vu, but there was one thing drastically different, yet expected.

I had woken up alone.

I rested my hands in my lap and turned my head to look out the window. The sun was starting to fall towards the horizon, making me wonder how long I was out for this time.

looking down from the sky, I was given a full view of the garden I saw before. It honestly looked as good as I remembered, better even. It would be nice to walk in it, be alone with my thoughts for a while.

The idea was shot down quickly. if it was difficult to be alone outside of the room before, it would be damn near impossible now.

That is, ifI’m even allowed to stay here after the stunt I pulled. I wouldn't blame him if he wanted me to leave. I'm honestly surprised he didn't just let me die. It would have been easier on everyone.

I was brought out of my thoughts when the door clicked open. I looked over towards the sound to see Aizawa with his usual tired expression.

“Oh, you're awake. How do you feel?”

I answered with a nonchalant shrug and turned back to the window, “I little light headed….”

He hummed and pulled up a chair, “That's to be expected. if I found you any later…”

His silence was deafening. I could be dead right now. Probably for hours before anyone found me.

Something rough was tapped against my arm, making my attention go to Aizawa again. Looking down at the bundled parchment paper before looking at Aizawa. He chuckled softly at my confusion and put it in my hand, “It’s a sandwich. To get your strength back.”

I unwrapped the sandwich and was greeted with the pleasant smell of salami and bacon, the smells making my mouth water, “Thank you.”

I took a bite and closed my eyes as I enjoyed the taste. I chewed slowly, dragging on the silence before swallowing. It scratched a bit with how dry my throat was. I coughed a few times to clear it before looking at Aizawa, “Wheres Todoroki…?”

He rolled his eyes a bit and leaned back in his chair, “I sent him to workout his frustrations. You didn't need to wake up to that.”

The news helped settle the nerves in my stomach and I took another bite of the sandwich. The silence dragged once again as he let me eat. Once I finished, I crumbled up the paper and took the cup of water next to my bed. I nursed the drink, ignoring his stare on me.

“You should go talk to him. I’m sure he’s calmed down by now.”

I nursed the glass as I listened to him, easing the dryness of my throat. Lowering the glass I set it back down gently and shook my head, “I don't think he wants to see me. Especially after everything I did today.”

Aizawa let out a low chuckle and shook his head as he started to stand, tucking his hands away in the pockets of his pants, “The boy is obsessed with you. I've never seen him run as fast as he did when you were falling back.” He paused as he shifted his weight to the other foot and rubbed the back of his neck, “He bruised up his knees trying to catch you. I was just barely able to grab your shirt.”

I thought back to the feeling of being caught. I wasn't sure who did it exactly, but the answer was still unexpected.  It made me smile as well.

Maybe he wasn't as mad as I thought he was.

“Am I allowed to leave yet?”

He nodded and made his way closer, “The nurses said you can leave once you eat. Let me take out the IVs for you so you don't accidently hurt yourself further than you have.”

He took them out with the same precision it would take to put them in, making me wonder if he's had experience with this before. He put bandaids over the puncture wounds before helping me to my feet. He kept a firm hold on me; which was lpful when I got a headrush from laying down for so long, “How long was I out this time?”

“Just for a few hours.” He spoke in a gruff voice and helped me find my footing before guiding me to the door, his hands hovering just above my arm and the other behind my back; ready to support at a moment's notice.

I took a few steps on my own before the hands pulled away slowly. it took me getting to the door on my own until his hands went back inside his pockets, “Remember the way?”

I nodded in response and opened the door, looking up and down the hall before I started making my way to the elevatorI took with Todoroki the last time I woke up in that room. The hallway was empty, much like every other hallway I've walked down.

Where are all the guards that seemingly come out of nowhere whenever there was a problem?

When we made it to the elevator, Aizawa pressed the button before I could get to it.  I was already becoming out of breath from the short walk. Possibly because I was in worse condition than I originally thought. When I get back to the room, the first thing I wanted to do was take a bath and then rest.

I leaned against the wall of the elevator for a small breather and watched as Aizawa pressed a button then scanned his thumb on a digital pad embedded into the wall. He looked back at me and raised an eyebrow. I nodded slowly as an answer to the silent question, assuring him I was fine.

The ride was quiet as it took us up to the final story.  When the doors opened again; I was greeted with a woman with dark black hair tied up into a ponytail. She fixed her shirt before looking at the two of us. There was a moment of silence between the three of us before she smiled and waved a greeting before stepping aside to let us out.

Aizawa hummed his thanks and waited for me to leave before following behind me. I waited until I heard the elevator close before breaking the silence, “Who was that? She was pretty.”

Aizawa hummed for a moment, trying to find the best way to satisfy my curiosity while keeping the information to a minimum. “The daughter of a business partner. Todoroki and her have been close... friends for a while now.”

The pause was a bit concerning, but I pushed aside the feeling. I decided to trust him from now on.

There's just one thing.

["He raped me."]

shaking my head, I pushed that aside. It was a lie. it had to be. Even if it wasn't…

But it was. Toododroki wouldn't do that. He has me. He said he's been looking for me. And that's been proven with the events that happened before I was brought here.

We made our way down the hallway to the room and I reached for the handle to open the door. With a slight pause, my hand fell back down to my side, “He's mad at me, isn't he?”

Aizawa was quiet for a moment before looking at the door, “No. Not mad, per say. Just, very frustrated.”  He grabbed my shoulder, giving it a firm squeeze, “It’s best to faceit now and talk it out before he gets too wrapped up in his own head.”

I nodded slowly and took in a breath before standing up straighter and reaching for the handle once again. Before I could grab it, it was pulled away from my reach as the door was opened from the other side.

“There's nothing behind it. And it was only this one time.” He paused in drying his hair and looked down at me,

“Oh, Bakugou.” A deafening pause, “You woke up faster than I was expecting you too.”
