POV: Drake

“Drakie, get up Drakie,” I heard the cutest little voice I’ve ever heard.  I smiled it was my little sister, Destiny.

“What did you want, baby girl?” I asked her with my voice laced with sleep.  She had been sitting by me the entire road trip.  I sighed and looked out the window and saw nothing but corn, corn, corn.  “Dad, where are we?”

“Welcome to Indiana, son.”  I looked outside in horror.

“I woke you up to tell you we here,” Destiny gave me a cute grin; she just lost her two front teeth.

“Have you been awake the whole time?” My large hand cupped her six-year-old face.  Destiny sounded so awake, so alive.  How long had she been up?

“No, I slept maybe half way through.  I tried to go back sleep but it’s so exciting.  How did you sleep the whole way Drakie?” Destiny’s large blue eyes seemed to overtake her face.  She looked like an angel with her straight blonde hair falling delicately around her shoulders.

“I was just really tired baby girl,” My hand fell from her face back to my lap, “So how much longer until we’re actually at the house?”

“About half an hour,” My Dad was looking back in the rear-view mirror, “Twenty more minutes and then we’ll wake up Chase and your Mom.”  Chase was my other younger sister.

Twenty minutes later and the car was buzzing with conversation regarding the new house.  Since Dad was the only one who has actually seen the house, we were all going to be surprised.  My mom was talking about painting the walls and redoing the floors while Chase was talking about how she wanted to do her room.  Destiny was talking about how her stuffed-animals were going to be arranged on her bed.  The corner of my mouth went up because all I seemed to be thinking about was how I planned to find my girl.

POV: Marissa

I woke up pretty early today, which is weird considering it was Saturday.  My bare feet hit my hardwood floor and I instantly pulled them back up to the bed.  With my orange short shorts, black tank top, and bright pink knee-length robe I walked out of my room.  Hunter was up too, surprisingly.

“Either the cute neighbor girls out running early today, or you stayed up all night reading a new book you got and haven’t slept at all.  I’m guessing the second one since you’re making coffee,” I walked up beside him and sat on the counter.
