POV: Drake
I stared at the wall like I had for the past three days. I looked down, only three empty packages of blood. This could be said that I was starving myself by only drinking so much that I didn’t have the urge to kill something. I was moping, that much was sure.
“Drake come on, we’re leaving in five minutes,” My mom yelled up the stairs at me. I sighed and grabbed my bag. We were going on some kind of trip. My parents had been talking about it since Mr. and Mrs. Carson left.
I walked outside and looked towards their house. Marissa had just come outside and she dropped everything. She started laughing then lugged it all back into her arms. She looked with joy at what was in the street. I looked there and sure enough there was a camper parked in between our two houses. I looked down at my mom with a question in my eyes.
“This is for you honey, so you can spend time with her,” She smiled brightly at me then kissed my cheek before walking towards Mrs. Carson.
I walked onto the camper and set my stuff down under one of the seats. I was surprised that it looked like it might fit everyone.
“Oh, Hunter we haven’t been in a camper since—” Marissa stopped right there when she saw it was me. The look in her eyes wasn’t disgust though. I saw pity and maybe a little bit of regret. I opened my mouth to talk but she gasped then closed her eyes tightly. “So all of it is true then?” It took me a while to realize that my fangs were out. She was talking about me being a vampire.
“I told you the truth Marissa,” I stuck my hand out for her, “Hi my name is Drake Summers and I just so happen to be a vampire. I have only killed a man once in my life and I terribly regret it. Some vampires like the taste of animal blood but it just makes me want to puke. I drink blood from a blood bank, which we can get because the owner is indeed a vampire. I have a human out there that will be the only person I can drink blood from and be completely satisfied. That person is you but I will not drink from you until you give me your permission.” I smiled for her but I was completely nervous.
Luckily, she took my hand, “Nice to meet you Drake. My name is Marissa Carson. I guess I just so happen to be the only human you can drink from, but I don’t think I’m comfortable enough to have you stick your teeth in my neck.” Okay, this was progress then. I tugged her hand and pulled her into a hug. I let go quickly.
“Friends then?” My smile was strained. Sure, let’s be friends. As long as I could kiss you silly one minute or maybe I could even fuck you the next minute.
“Sure, friends sounds nice for now,” Marissa blushed when she said that but a smile took up my whole face.
Soon, everyone got on the bus and I sat by Marissa. She asked me questions about my vampire nature and I asked her questions about her life. She blushed furiously when she told me she was in love with vampire stories then took out a book she had been reading. I threw my head back and laughed, Kiss My Fangs, really? I flipped through it then stopped on a very interesting scene between the main characters.
I feigned surprise, “Marissa! How could you read things like this?” She looked over at the book then tried to take it from me. Our parents were in a different section of the bus so I went ahead and read it out loud. “His fangs caressed my neck as his hands caressed my groin. I was moaning loudly at this point—”
“Drake put it down,” She tried to scream over me but I kept going, everyone was laughing at this.
“Oh, this part is even better,” I cleared my throat. “Two fingers plunged inside of me with earnest. He set up a quick rhythm that quickly shattered me apart.”
“Are you done yet?” Marissa asked while jumping at the book again.
“No, hold on, it’s just getting good,” I laughed a little then continued, “His stood up after that to shuck off his pants, proudly displaying that he wore no undergarments. His manhood stood erect and I reached out to—”
“Hey kids we’re going to be there in about ten minutes okay?” My dad stuck his head out the curtain to tell us.
“Okay,” was said in chorus by all of us except Marissa. Her face was burning with embarrassment. I had the strangest urge to kiss her cheek. Okay, so it wasn’t strange but it was strong.
“Can I have my book back please?” She asked in a meek voice.
I leaned down to whisper in her ear, “It could be like that Marissa. The entry point of my teeth will just give that much more pleasure.” I handed her book back then sat down on my seat again.
Okay, so I wasn’t good with the whole “friends” thing.
