POV: Marissa
A reaction? Was that all I was to him? Was that all any of this was? Oh that’s it. I was just going to ask him.
Yeah, right. Like I could just come out and say, “Drake I really like you. I don’t want to just give you boners, I want to see them too.”
Yes, that would go over very well. Drake gave me a funny look but I ignored it and walked back to our table.
Jenna smirked at me with a dangerous glint in her eyes.
“Jenna I want to know what’s going on right this moment or so help me I will scream,” I looked her straight in the eye and gave her my best serious look.
“I’m sorry Mar Mar, but I shouldn’t be the one to tell you,” Jenna smiled at me and walked off in Drake’s direction.

POV: Marissa, later that night
“Hey mom, it’s okay if Jenna spends the night right?” I yelled up the stairs.
“Of course honey,” My mom chuckled as she came down the stairs, “I’m going to make you guys some snacks. Cookies and milk sound good?”
“Triple chocolate?” I asked with a huge smile on my face.
“Anything for my favorite daughter,” My mom kissed my cheek and went to the kitchen.
“Are you still not telling me anything?” I asked Jenna as I went upstairs to my room.
“Absolutely nothing is coming out of my mouth. Where is Hunter anyway?” Jenna asked this with an innocent air but I figured that her intentions were less than innocent.
“He just grabbed some of his stuff then went to go stay the night with Drake. It’s weird, they went from strangers to best friends in just an hour. I don’t get it,” My face fell and my eyes instantly went to the book I had been reading, Kiss My Fangs. No, no more vampire novels for me.
“So what do you want to do? Oh! We could watch a movie, or give each other makeovers, or we could stay up all night and talk about the double wedding we are going to have! I’ll marry whatever guy comes along at the time and you will marry Drake!” Jenna giggled at this.
“I doubt it! I tried on a dress and he ran away--”
“But with good reason. Plus he left his wallet so you could buy the dress, and he came back later,” Jenna smirked at me, “Face it, you guys are going to get married.”
“We aren’t even dating! I mean, are we even friends?” My face pleaded with her to let it go. She apparently didn’t get it.
“Sit down, I want to do your hair,” Jenna’s face lit up and she grabbed bobby pins and went to work.
. . .
POV: Drake
I leaned back in my chair, looking at Hunter.
“How long have you known?” My face remained stoic as Hunter casually leaned back on my bed.
“My first change was when I turned fifteen. I started sniffing around Jenna when I was seventeen. I thought it was just a crush from my heightened hormones, but I’m guessing it’s something more isn’t it?” His mouth quirked up on the side. “I sure hope it is something more. I think I’m pretty close to falling in love with her.”
“I just met Marissa and I already feel that way. Damn, I feel like punching the wall so I can get my manliness back,” We both fell into laughter.

So I see that no one is reading really anymore. Oh well, I knew this could and would happen, but I'm determined to finish this book! And please, if you know people on this site that you think would like this book, please tell them. I feel like I'm begging but oh well. Thank you brave few who decided to hang on and actually MIGHT know what's going on. I love you all who are reading or continuing to read. An again I apologize for not posting sooner but I had a rough year.
