"Jeez how long have we been here?
Maybe a day..." Yuri rolled her
eyes "this is ridiculous" The numbers
slowly got higher and higher as time
passed.

By the time the auction was closed
on the 3rd day, the highest bidding
was 10.5 million. Both Yuri and
Yoshida were sitting in their cage.

Yuri tried lighting the mood" wow...
Didn't know we were worth 10
million dollars. Heh... man this sucks."

"I mean to be fair we're apparently
super rare, so it's no doubt that we
would be that expensive to someone"
Yoshida said unenthusiastically "but
I wonder who will manage to win
the auction"

"I wonder too" Yuri started thinking
again 'hey great sage can you list my
skills?' No answer, odd.

"What's wrong? You seem a bit
distressed" Yoshida questioned,
noticing Yuri looking distraught.

"My skill isn't working... is yours
working possibly?"

"Hm... let me try..." Yoshida tries
using her skill unsuccessfully.
"Ya mines not working either"

I wonder why it's not working"...
Yuri looked down and saw the collar
through her peripherals. "Maybe it's
these collars?"

"Most likely, when he put it on me it
felt like an emptiness grew; that
feeling is probably the reason we
can't use our skills" Yoshida
remembered.

"Ah I see.." Yuri layed down.
"I'm so tired," she whined.

"I am too, we've been in the dumb
cage for days all because of the these
stupid people trying to auction us off.

And the whole drama thing that
happened in the cage just makes
me want to pass out..." Yuri
snivelled

"That's understandable"

"I'm going to sleep now though ,to
pass the time,. Night" Yuri said as
she was very knackered.

"Night, night..."

The auction went on for a few days,
while Yuri and Yoshida continued
the daily routine of eating, talking
and drifting in and out of sleep, and
finally on the seventh day of staying
in the neon yellow cage, the auction
concluded, they were sold for 2
billion dollars.

The people who bought them were
these creepy looking rich people in
robes, who weren't exactly the nicest.

But Yuri and Yoshida were used to
the harsh treatment by now, due to
them being fed practical garbage
everyday, and being woken up when
they slept just to see the crowd of
people wanting to buy them.

As the people took Yuri and Yoshida
on their long voyage to get to their
campsite, they learned about who
the people were and what their
intentions are.

They were part of a religion that
neither Yuri or Yoshida had ever
heard of. They were planning to
use them to get money, alas they
had paid 2 billion for them.
Nevertheless they spent so much
on gaining the two foxes they
decided to make them useful in
another way...
