Onward

"What do you mean?" Yoshida
questioned.

"What do I mean?! I just found you
out in the woods almost unconscious
and bleeding!!!" She yelled, eyes
welling up with tears.

"Oh right that..." Yoshida said "it's a
long story, I don't think you want to
hear it all..."

"I don't care if it's long. Just tell me"
she said, wiping her tears.

Yoshida chuckled even if it hurt "alright
I'll just say the basics about what
happens though, alright?"

"Ok" Yuri sniffled.

"I was just looking around trying to
find things like you told me and I found
a group of people from the place from
which we escaped from, and they shot
arrows at me but none of them hit me,
after that they ran away looking scared,
I turned around and saw a giant beast
that had a snake for a tail, and two heads
a lion and a goat. And the next thing I
knew was that I was being attacked by it,
but thank god I killed it before it could
kill me, but afterwards when Iwas laying
on the ground you found me."

Yuri stared at her wide-eyed.

"Does that explain everything?"
Yoshida asked.

"mhm" she said softly, staring at
the ground.

"Good, because I'm too exhausted to
explain again" Yoshida said while
laying down.

Yuri continued sitting there staring
blankly "mhm"

"Don't be so down," Yoshida demanded,
"Anyways, did you gather anything
from when you were out?"

She nodded her head slightly and
pointed at the fire where food was
cooking. "I'm going to go for a little
walk... To clear my head.." she said
and slowly walked to the entrance
"be back soon."

"Ok..." Yoshida called out as her friend
was leaving their little den. She laid
there staring at the ceiling for about
a minute, because she didn't want to
try and get up.

Yuri was lost in her thoughts at first
'how did Yoshida end up in such a
situation? second why was she
bleeding sliver? Third, is that the reason
as to why they were captured?' Yuri
ended up walking back to the area
where the corps of the Chimera was
laying cold.

Yoshida stood up after ages of trying
and failing. She managed to walk
over to we're the hand crafted fire
was and saw a rabbit being cooked on it.

Yuri looked at the body of the Chimera.
It was deformed and bloody but the
more she looked at it the more she
thought of things to do with it.

Yoshida realized she hadn't eaten since
both her and Yuri left, so once the
rabbit looked cooked, Yoshida picked
it up off of the fire.

Yuri slowly approached the body and
examined it thoroughly.

Yoshida sat there waiting for the rabbit
to cool down, as she started getting
frustrated due to her being hungry (hangry)

The skin of the Chimera was thick and
soft, while the horns on the goat were
sharper than a knife, the fat could make
candles and she could dry the flesh for
clothing. Yuri started by clawing one of
the horns off the goat, slicing her hand
slightly. She looked at the silver blood
running down her palm, it really was pretty...

Yoshida finally was able to eat the rabbit,
she smiled as she finally ate it. 😌

Yuri started skinning the beast with the
horn of the goat before she ripped the
other horn out. As she skinned the beast
she noticed that the claws were really
sharp so she took them too. With the cloth
that she had found, she wrapped the
teeth, hide, horns and claws and carried
it home quickly dumping it before she
went back for the rest.

By the time Yuri came home to dump the
things that she had gathered she had
noticed that Yoshida was already sound asleep.

When she returned to the body she cut
the meat off the Chimera and brought
It back to the cave and curled up beside
Yoshida. She was still thinking about
how she had almost lost her only friend
out there.
