The Silver fox's

The change

The air was moist and it was cold
as Cami woke up from what felt
like a bad dream, her vision was
fuzzy, she realized something was
very off, even though it was cold she
still Felt warm, and every sound and
smell was really intense and it felt like
she was laying on some cold, hard
surface. As soon as she got her vision
back she panicked, as she looked
at the unfamiliar scenery.

As Cami realized what had happened
prior to this situation she remembered
getting shot, she started to feel a little
pain growing on her due to her
remembering that dreadful feeling.
She started to recollect herself over the
dreadful feeling of being overwhelmed
thinking of what could have happened
to Rya.

Rya couldn't feel her body; it was like
she was floating in space, the blinding
colours were flashing through her
eyelids. Something wasn't right, her
mind was fuzzy. Was she in the
hospital, did Cami make it? was
everyone ok? The light slowly settled
down and her senses heightened. She
was cold. Rya did not have the energy
to open her eyes as she slowly fell
asleep once again.

As Cami slowly sat up, vision still
blurry, she felt really small, not in a
way of we're she felt trapped, she literally
was less than a foot off the ground. As Cami frantically stared at the fogged out
surroundings of what looked to be a
cave, she felt her arms and they were fluffy
"why do I have fluff on me!?" Cami
thought to herself a bit confused, she
looked down and saw paw pads, as she
stared at her used to be hands in shock.
Around her were three fox-like creatures;
they were all small and huddled together
in a pile. She could only see faint outlines
but all of them were white and were laying
beside a giant creature that had the ears
of a fox but nine tails and it seemed to be
glowing in the darkness of the shadowy cave?

Cami looked back at the surroundings
of the cave to get a more detailed picture.
It was gorgeous there were crystals
scattered at random and they had a slight
glow to them in the shadows of the
cave. She looked back at her tiny self and
stood up, even though she wasn't going
to be any taller when she did. However
it was quite difficult, it was as if she were
just learning how to walk again.

Rya felt the cold start to disappear from
around her. What was happening? Then
she remembered the pain and the blood
and, Cami... she ripped her eyes open and
realized she was not in the hospital, there
was no pain and she felt small.

As Cami looked back in the direction
of the fox-like creatures she noticed one
waking up for its slumber.

Rya couldn't see and her movements
felt sluggish, suddenly two small balls
moved next to her, and started
getting on their feet, her vision slowly
came and she examined her
surroundings; she got onto her feet and
realized she was short and she was
on all fours. When Rya finally got a
good look at herself she was shocked
to see that she was no longer human.

As Cami was staring at the other fox
creature she started to remember
the whole scenario of the shooting.
The feelings of being scared for her life
and Rya holding onto her, most of all
she is horrified from wondering if Rya
is ok. As she looks back at the other
creatures she sees the larger one start
to move, then quickly stands on its feet
looking majestic.

Rya was in a state of panic; she didn't
know where she was, who she was,
or what she was. There was a massive
creature laying down beside her and
all the small beasts started getting up.
She figured that's what she must've
looked like. She took a quick look
around and saw a small fox standing
and looking at her. Rya made eye
contact with the being before slowly
backing up. She sat down in a corner
and went through the things that
were happening, one thing she knew
for sure was that she had been
reincarnated but not as a human and
definitely was not in the human
world anymore.

Cami saw a concerned yet confused
look on one of the tiny beasts face,
and at this moment she calmed down
a bit due to her somehow recognizing
the look on the tiny creature, but she
clearly wasn't in the same world as she
was in before, so she didn't know how
she could possibly know this tiny thing,
but alas she feel some sort of comfort
when around it.

As Rya sat in a corner a small beast
came towards her. She immediately
did something stupid, she went on her
hind legs and put up her paws up.

Cami sat there confused at what she
was witnessing. The strange creature
is on its hind legs which was kinda
funny to her, she moved closer to this
creature to see what it would do next.

Rya moved backwards on her hind
legs with her paws still up, suddenly
she tripped on a rock and fell backwards,
she let out a small squeak and realized
she could probably talk.

Cami just sat there watching as this
creature struggled to get up, and
found it kind of amusing.

Suddenly Cami had a small memory
of her and Rya being goofballs, but she
didn't know why, it looked nothing
like her. These thoughts made Cami
sad again as she thought about if her
friend was ok or not.

Rya saw the being stop and took
this as an opportunity to run away,
she quickly dashed away from the being.
