A few months later, nothing interesting happened, Yuri and Yoshida spent most of the time sleeping.

One day when they woke up they heard a commotion coming from the outside world, not knowing what it was they were very curious.

People were running back and forth trying to gather weapons. Yuri looked at Yoshida "do you think this is our time?" She asked.

"Let's wait a few more seconds, then we can try" Yoshida suggested.

"Ok. Can I at least change into human form?" She asked.

"Maybe once we get outside, I feel like we have a better chance of being spotted as humans, and we're faster as foxes." Yoshida said.

"true... Ok I'll follow you"

"Ok" Yoshida said.

Both Yoshida and Yuri exited their cage with ease, due to one of the bars being slightly damaged from rust, they slid out of the cage and had a peek outside.

People were too distracted running around trying to get weapons or bringing in the injured that they didn't notice the two foxes running out.

Yuri and Yoshida ran quite fast, only being noticed by a single person who died a second later. They didn't see why they were dying, they just ran.

Blood was splattered everywhere. "What do you think is happening!?" Yuri yelled above the noise.

"I don't know, but I kinda want to look" Yoshida said out of breath.

"I don't.." she whimpered.

"I'm gonna look!" Yoshida yelled.

"don't leave!!" Yuri yelled, "Let's just get outside first!!"

"Fine, Yoshida whined"

Yuri continued to run to the door but was stopped by a guard who was hiding.

The guard was wearing armour and was blocking their path to freedom.

Yuri tried to stop but she was running too fast and slid into the leg of the guard.

Luckily for Yuri the guard had a horrible sense of balance, he let out a gasp and looked at Yuri before he tried alerting other people, Yuri and Yoshida fled.

Yuri and Yoshida managed to make it outside where it was absolute hell.

People were dying everywhere and the city was painted in blood. Yuri didn't even have time to enjoy the warmth of the sun.

Yoshida looked around wanting to find the cause of all this.

"I feel sick..." Yuri mumbled. When she had the courage to look up one of her skills activated.

Yuri saw hundreds of small glowing orbs everywhere as they were slowly going up. "What in the world..." She muttered "what are those" "answer. Souls you can see due to being a nine tailed fox" great sage replied in an instant.

"Wow..." Yuri said and looked over to Yoshida "can you see them too?"

"See what?" Yoshida answered, confused.

"look up..."

"Holy Jesus!" Yoshida raised her voice.

"it's beautiful.... I just wanna wrap my hand around it...." Yuri walked forward turning into her human form and reached her hand out "it's like they are calling to me" she said hair and eyes glowing "for once I feel I should be useful" Yuri closed her hand.

Everything stopped for a second like they were trapped in time. Slowly the souls started moving. Yuri's tails grew wide and her ears became long. Suddenly the hundreds of souls started racing towards Yuri's hand. The light was blinding and it was silent for a while 5 seconds before Yuri had realised what had happened.

Yoshida looked at Yuri, stunned from what she saw, her tail was flowing as smooth as water does and the light being produced by her was blinding. Yuri had the orbs in the sky pulled to her as if a rope were tied to it.

Yuri's clothing had been burned away from the heat of the light but her body created a dress of light around her. Yuri looked at Yoshida with tears in the corner of her eyes "what happened?" she asked, "i-i feel like somethings wrong..." Tears started rolling down her face. She looked back at Yoshida "did i-i do something wrong?"

Yoshida ran up to Yuri and put her hand around her shoulder, she looked at her with a concerned in her eyes "what do you mean? why do you think you did something wrong?" Yoshida quickly asked not giving her a chance to answer,

"I-i don't know" she murmured "I-im feeling things t-that I've never felt before..." Yuri's knees grow weak and she collapsed. People had stopped fighting and started running over to where the blinding flash of light had come from.

Yoshida started to panic, they were so close to freedom but she couldn't carry her passed out friend without slowing herself down.

"Yuri you have to get up" Yoshida stammered

"weak" she muttered "so weak"

"Yuri~! Come on!"

Yuri looked at Yoshida sleepily before turning back into a fox, but she was three times smaller than she originally was. Just the size for Yoshida to carry her.

Yoshida bent down and carefully placed Yuri on her back, and she ran without looking back.

People realized what was happening and started chasing after Yoshida.

Yoshida ran, eventually reaching a dark forest with trees reaching the height of tiny skyscrapers. Not knowing what was in the forest she entered.

People were no longer chasing them but Yuri was still sleeping.

Yoshida still ran even though no one was chasing them anymore but she wanted to get as far away from that place as possible.

It started getting dark and Yoshida came across a cave, and Yoshida was heaving from running so much.

Yoshida went inside the cave a little sceptical and walked halfway deep into it before setting Yuri down.

Yuri was still asleep and breathing slowly but her glow died down.

Yoshida, still out of breath sat next to her watching to see if anything was going into or out of the cave.
