Human?

Yuri went over and bit into the
centre of the collar, deactivating
it after a while of masticating it.
"Now do mine.."

"Um ok" Yoshida bit into the collar
having a bit more difficulty but
eventually deactivating it as well.

Great sage came in once more.
"new form acquired. Use?" "Yoshida...
It says I have a new form. What do
you think that means" Yuri asked.

"I don't know but apparently I do too"

"Is it because I k-" Yuri swallowed
hard "killed somebody.." "correct.
Form acquired by killing human" said
Great Sage.

"But then why do I have a new
form then?"

"answer. you have a connection
which combines your skills" Great
Sage responded.

"How does that work? Actually
I don't wanna know..." "Um activate
form I guess..." Yoshida demanded.

"activate form" Yuri said.

"Confirmed, now activating form,"
Great Sage replied.

Both Yuri and Yoshida glowed a
slightly dimmed color.

Their paws grew into hands and their
front legs grew into arms. The glow
grew brighter and devoured Yoshida
and Yuri's body.

Yuri closed her eyes from the
brightness and when she opened
them she was no longer a fox. She was
human with pale skin and snowy
white hair but she was completely
naked. She gasped and curled in a ball.

Yoshida was a human as well now
but she had hair that had the same
colour as pewter, but with a hint
of blue. She had pale skin from what
she could see, and when she realized
she was completely uncovered, she
didn't become as dazed as Yuri did,
but she just hid herself to be respectful.

"Holy mother of God," Yuri said.

"Um well I guess we're human again"
Yoshida said a bit confused.

"I'm so confused," Yuri said. She took
a good look at her body and saw that
it was still full of wounds. Other than
that Yoshida looked like she was only
8 years old so Yuri must look that
way too.

"Hay um Yuri what are those weird
black markings on your face?"
Yoshida wondered.

"huh?" Yuri touched her face "you
have some too..."

"Oh I do?" Yoshida said that she
saw from her peripherals 2 people
standing there in shock.

Yuri looked behind her to see what
Yoshida was looking at "uh.. hi?"
She said awkwardly.

One of the people quickly rushed out
of the room and when he came
back he had 2 oversized white
shirts in his hand.

They opened the cage and Yuri and
Yoshida climbed out and put on the shirts.

They had a closer look at themselves
now that they were standing, they
felt that they still had their ears and
tails which was kinda nice..

"great now we're furries" she said jokingly
"but it feels nice to be human again"

"Ya it does"

One of the people spoke to them,
"how are you guys human?"

"We don't know, it said we had a
new form so we tried it out. Then
boom, we were human..."

Yoshida chuckled as Yuri said this.

Yuri glared at her and stuck her tongue out.

The person sighed, "we're gonna have
to get a bigger cage now."

"Why are we in a cage in the first
place?" Yuri asked.

"For our protection" the person said
"judging by what happened not too
long ago I'd say it was a good idea."

"I didn't know that would happen..."
She said now feeling melancholy,
"sorry." Yuri mumbled.

"Whatever, just get back in your
cages, and try to turn back for
God's sake."

"ok? But we don't know how to change
back?" Yuri said.

"Well, figure it out," he said as both
Yuri and Yoshida stepped in the cage.

It was cramped due to their bigger
size, "Great Sage back to form 'nine
tailed foxes," Yuri said "confirmed.
Now changing back to nine tailed foxes"

Yuri looked at the doctors and they
nodded before they left.

"Man, I liked being human too" Yoshida
whined "but at least this gives us
an advantage for if we were to escape."

"don't say that aloud! People could
be listening... But yes I liked being
human" she said sadly.

"Aw come on they already left" Yoshida
complained "I hate those guys they're
so rude."

"mhm" Yuri whined "I wanna explore!"

"Ya but we can't. That's why this place sucks."

"I mean we could try~" Yuri said devilishly.

Yoshida huffs "that's a bad idea; you
can if you want but I'm gonna seriously
be mad if you get caught."

"You know it would be better escaping
when they're busy with something else~"
Yuri said feeling a bit menaced.
"So maybe we should wait till then..."
Yuri said.

"Ya think?"

Yuri looked at Yoshida and rolled her
eyes "yes I think."

"Well then I guess we have to
wait then" Yoshida slumped down.
"You sure you're able to wait this
long," Yoshida mockingly said.

"yeah~" Yuri rolled into a ball "might
as well sleep while we wait."

"Yea I guess..."

"till something interesting happens"
Yuri said sleepily

Yoshida and Yuri fell asleep once
again to pass the time.

They weren't tested on, or experimented
on for a long while, but after a few
days the Apothecary went back to their
experiments.
