A few blocks away, Hunter grabbed Gillian by the arm, held her tightly because otherwise she would have kept walking for miles, and gestured with his head toward a skyscraper. She looked back and forth between him and the building, uncomprehending, and started laughing when she realized what he meant. This could not be his seriousness. So this building was supposed to house MACUSA? Of course it was. Just like that in the middle of New York. So that anyone, even a Muggle, could enter the American version of Ministry of Magic.

"We're not in England, where everything is underground. The MACUSA," again Hunter pointed to the Tower and Gillian began to groan in disbelief as this couldn't be true, "We're wizards. Thus, it should not be a problem that there is a person in there to help us. After all, we can identify ourselves."

"Yes, of course," Gill began chuckling knowingly and merely shook his head at Hunter's apparent failure to understand that they both, possessed a very different obvious problem, which had been mentioned earlier, "It's simple. We just go in and after we identify ourselves, everything will be fine. Am I seeing this right?"

"Not that simple but by and large it is," Hunter nodded in confirmation but Gill abruptly stopped laughing and slapped his temple at that kind of naivety, "What's your problem?"

"Look at your ID," after this matter-of-fact request, Gill waited a moment and started nodding with pursed lips as Hunter looked at his ID, "Get it now? Ninety it says. Born ninety. Born sixty-eight. Yeah, they'll help us for sure because we haven't even been born yet. Do you finally get it now?"

"Don't take your bad mood out on me now, okay," this and no other way Hunter had envisioned the day, and added to that Gill was not one of those people who, when deviating from the plan, handled it well, "We're both stuck here. For now."

"So, you got the time reverser. You said you'd take care of it. You said everything was fine," she had a hard time not completely freaking out and yelling at Hunter, however, and Gill knew this only too well, it wouldn't change anything, "You're a bum. Where or who did you get the time reverser from? Mundungus Fletcher? Auror. Aurors, you follow me that far.....? There are dozens of time reversers in the Ministry and then you don't need to buy one from a street idiot. Especially from him. Now we are stuck in a foreign country, at a completely disturbed time. Now tell me to calm down, then....."

"It's okay....," defensively Hunter raised his hands, exhaling audibly yet hoping the Macusa could help, "...it's okay. Okay, maybe our starting position is not the very best but....."

"Not the very best?!" interrupted Gill a little louder and started coughing in bewilderment, only to completely freak out because everything had gone completely wrong, "We're screwed. No papers, no money..... and don't tell me now we have credit cards...... they don't exist yet. Even our cell phones are worthless. There is not even internet. There is nothing. And what there is, it's not helpful."

Gillian would have liked to scream out loud, but standing out even further was one of the worst things that could happen right now.
