Whatever had been a few minutes ago, Scamander and the Muggle were gone. Completely, Hunter could say what he wanted, the two of them should be God knows where, now. So much for him keeping an eye on the author. The excuse that he had merely let the two out of his sight for a second didn't work.

Aside from the fact that it had been a task Hunter didn't want to do anyway, and was much more compelled to do, there was so much news. Both from Gill's side and from him.

A boy named Credence was in Paris and not only was he an Obscurus, but he had also been responsible for the commotion in New York a few months ago. Why Dumbledore wanted to find him before the Ministry of Magic, Hunter could not say, as the soon-to-be-dead principal, liked to keep information back and to himself.

What Gill was able to find out was why Hunter let out an agonized groan, because he wouldn't necessarily have wanted to know. At this point, Nagini was still a young woman, not a snake. A simple blood fox was responsible for Nagini being a Maledictus and having to turn into a snake until the moment came when it could not be undone. The Dark Lord's faithful companion was not a native snake.

All this was well and good, however, if at the present time Grindelwald had not been here in Paris.

"He likes to talk," Gill said when she had finished telling about the meeting, "And of course, how could it be otherwise, he likes to hear himself talk. His shtick is simple. The wants and needs of wizards and witches are packed together with a lot of blah blah blah so it doesn't, just sounds like empty words."

"Congratulations, you're playing on two teams now," Hunter laughed at which Gill couldn't even remotely laugh, "Come on. Our time is up, as you know. Grindelwald or Lord Voldemort?"

"Actions speak louder than words from there, it should be obvious," Gill replied, wincing as there was a bang that sounded like an explosion, "What was that?"

"I hope not Scamander," Hunter said immediately, as he would believe anything of that, "First New York, now Paris. Seriously, how much bad luck can one person have, please?"

"Karma. It's all just karma," Gill sighed and looked up at the sky, but it took a few minutes before anything was visible, "Back there."

No smoke, as Hunter said, from that it could not have been an ordinary explosion. And if it wasn't ordinary, then magic was always involved.
