Chapter 15

The day has soon come to an end. Ash and I leave the carnival right after the fireworks end. We reach Vaniville Town at approximately 8pm, and Ash decides to walk me up to my house.

"Today was fun." Ash says as he stops in front of my house.

"I agree." I reply.

"Same here." He smiles.

I move in closer to him and put my hand on his right shoulder. I don't know if I should be doing this, but I want to. Like I said, I will start giving him tiny hints about how I feel. I move my head towards him and plant a small kiss on his cheek. I pull away, and blush as red as a Magicarp.

"Pika?!" Pikachu says, wide eyed as it watches.

Ash looks at me with a surprised expression on his face. He slowly moves his hand and holds his cheek.

"W-what was t-that for?" He stutters.

"T-that is a thank you...for such a great day."

"O-oh..." He blushes. "No problem."

I look down to my feet. Oh my arceus. Now I regret doing that. Did he hate it? Or did he like it? It's hard to tell.

"W-well, I better get going." He says.

"Right. Bye, Ash." I give a small smile.

"Bye..." He replies.

As he turns around, he bumps into the gate of my house. The effects of the kiss were still on him.

"Ow!" He cries.

"Hehe. Are you okay?" I giggle at his clumsiness.

"Y-yeah. Didn't see that there." He nervously chuckles.

"Anyways, see you tommorow." I say as I open my door.

"Okay. See ya." Ash rubs the shoulder that bumped into the gate.

Ash's P.O.V.

I sigh as Serena enters and disapears into her house. What just happened? Why did she do that? We are only friends, nothing more. I got to admit, I kind of liked it. But still, why did she do it? Does she like me too? There are so much questions to ask.

"Man...what a day." I say as I walk to my house.

"Pika." Pikachu replies.

"I don't know what happened, Pikachu." I say as I hold my cheek again.

"Pi pika." Pikachu shrugs.

I get to my house and open the door. I find my mom in the living room watching a movie.

"Hey mom. I'm back."

"Oh, Ash! How was your day?" She says.

"It was great. I had a fun time." I reply.

"Who was the girl you went out with again? I'm sorry, I am terrible at remembering names."

"Serena." I blush at the thought of her.

"Serena? I feel like I recognize that name..." She says.

"Yeah, it's the Serena from summer camp."

"Really? Wow, you guys reunited." She says.

"Yup." I nod.

"You need to bring her over some day. I want to see her." She says.

"Mom, she has visited already. She came over for our science project, remember?" I sweatdrop.

"Right! Sorry, I am getting old and forgetful."

"I can tell." I roll my eyes.

"But I do still want to get to know her better. Why don't we invite her and her mom over for dinner tommorow night?"
