Zero's POV:

"MS. HARGREEVES," A WOMAN'S VOICE greets.

I look around to see everything frozen as if time itself had stopped. What the hell? Confused about how I'm still alive and still very low in energy, I look up to see a woman with platinum blonde hair that curls neatly below her jaw.

Money, Money, Money, by Abba, plays from her the hand radio she's currently holding, along with a briefcase.

"Delores?" I mutter, my vision is blurry. It's very hard for me to keep my eyes open due to a lack of physical energy.

The woman, seeming to not hear me takes a few steps closer. "I have an offer to make you."

"What offer?" I ask, discreetly pinching my side to see if I was dead or just dreaming. I'm not.

"I work for an organization called the commission. We are tasked with the preservation of the time continuum through manipulation and removals. I've come to offer you a job, Number Zero," She tells me.

I scrunch my eyebrows together as I think, still floating mid-air. "No thanks. I'm good," I shrug simply.

The blonde gives me an amused smile as if she knows something I don't. "We think that you have a lot of potential as one of our assassins. You've become quite the celebrity back at headquarters of your survival skills and extraordinary telekinetic powers."

I stay silent, processing this information. If I being honest, I'm not very lucid right now to fully comprehend what's going on right now.

The woman takes my silence as an invitation to continue. "After twenty years of service, and your contract is done, you can retire to the time and place of your choosing." She places the briefcase down as she adds, "You can even go back, before 2019 to see your family."

My head snaps up, my mind now focusing on what she's saying. "I could go home?" I ask.

She nods smugly. "So, do we have an agreement?" she asks, holding a hand out for me to take.

"What about Five?" I ask. I'm not making the mistake of leaving Five again if I can help it.

"What about him?" She furrows her brows.

"I'm not going unless he is too," I argue.

She thinks for a moment. "He'll join you too... eventually," she tells me.

I think for a second, weighing my options. I could either stay here, go back to Five, and never find a way home, OR, I could agree to this job offer, get Five to join later, and get to go home. To our family.

"Can I say at least goodbye to my boyfriend before we go to... whatever place?" I ask, finally coming to a decision.

"You either come with me now or not at all. The decision is really up to you," she states, holding her hand straight in front of her.

I sigh, feeling absolutely horrible for what I'm about to do but it's the only way to save Five. I place my hand in hers as she opens her briefcase and the setting changes with a flash of blue light.

We now stand inside a doorway of what I'm guessing is the headquarters for "the commission".

I stand in a building. A proper building. Not one that is destroyed or in flames. A beautiful building that is standing tall, unharmed.
