FIVE AND I SPENT THE next three and a half weeks working on finding a way back to our timeline. Seeing as last time, Five didn't have an exact destination on when he wanted to travel to, we also have to be very exact.
We know that we want to go back to before 2019 but not at the exact time we left cause well, imagine how our 13-year-old siblings would react to seeing Five and I as 21-year-olds.
Although, I would love to see the look on their faces if we did.
I would be lying if I said that the work we are doing to get back made me unhopeful. Little by little, Five and I have made progress. We've been so engrossed in the thought of time-traveling back that we haven't fought, joked, or talked to Delores much.
The only time we do talk away from the chalkboard is when we are just falling asleep. Normally when we talk at night, we look up at the stars, seeing that the moon has lost its round shape for some unknown reason.
It was now a deformed rock-like shape. When we first got here we thought that the sun was just hitting the moon at a weird angle but not long after we noticed that we were very wrong.
Of course, we don't have all the answers or any for that matter, but we've made peace with that. For now.
After the small correction I made to Five's problem we quickly ran out of space on the board and ended up getting another one... and another one. Okay, so we may have started writing on what's left of the walls, but to be fair we don't exactly have a lot to work with so it'll have to do.

I stand in what's left of the destroyed academy, looking for any signs of life. I look down at my dirty uniform, wiping my sweaty palms on the front of my blazer as I try to stay calm. But I can't help but let out a whimper in panic.
I'm completely alone. No Ben. No Klaus. No Five.
"Hello?!" I yell, my voice horse from crying.
"Zero." I hear someone choke out from behind my line of sight. I turn to the voice only to find Five bleeding out onto the ground from his stomach.
I run to him, quickly lifting him and placing pressure on his wound. "No, no. This- this can't be happening. Not again. Not you too. Please. Five, hey! Stay with me!" I yell as his eyes start to droop closed.
"You have to keep going. You have to..." Suddenly he stops. His eyes stare off into nothing as they start to gloss over. His heart beat comes to a stop as the last breath leaves his lungs.
"No, no, no! Five! Wake up! Wake up!" I sob, shaking his shoulders in panic. "You- I can't-" I stutter not able to form coherent sentences.
"Zero... Zero... Zero!" I hear someone call.
My eyes open wide with a gasp. I look over to see Five sat up on my right, looking at me with concern. I take deep breaths as my mind leaves its nightmare state. It was just a dream. Thank goodness it was just a dream.
"Zero, are you okay?! You were whimpering in your sleep." Five asks worriedly. He examines my terrified expression in the moonlight before saying. "You're crying."
I reach my hand to my damp cheek, noticing that he's right. "I-I'm fine, Five. Just go back to sleep," I reply shakily as I try to convince him. I turn my head away to wipe my face with my sleeve.
"No, hey. What were you dreaming about that got you that terrified? Talk to me." He pushed, placing his hand under my chin and turning it to look at me.
