Aura's pov

We were nearing Highpoint mountain. The other groups were already at their destination. We got held up this morning because some of our people went out to get food and lost track of time.

"Is that it?" Someone asked. I look ahead of us. There was a little camp by a cave. I strained my eyes closer. The cave had gleaming bars in front of it. This is definitely the place. We head back to the woods and take a break. Owen was acting jittery. He was picking at his fingers as he leaned against the tree.

"You ok, Owen?" I asked. I sat next to him and wrapped my arm around his shoulder.

"I can't help but think. What if my mom is already dead?" he asked, turning his head so he was looking at me. His eyebrows were squished together. I see Terra on the other side of the group. We made eye contact and I nodded her over. She makes her way through the crowd. She stood near us and I could see Owen visually relax.

"I just talked to her the other day. She was alive then and she should be alive now" I say, patting his shoulder. I stand up and take my bag off. I get bottled water. I take a few drinks before putting it back in the bag.

"So we're actually about to do this?" Kailani asked. She walked over with Blaze. I nod my head.

"We didn't travel here to not do anything, Lani." Kailani glared at me and pushed my shoulder.

"I know that. It's just nobody ever thought the missing elementals would return home. And that is going to happen in a few days" Kailani smiles. I nod my head.

"Is everyone ready?" Blaze asked. Everyone nodded their heads before standing up. Three of the elementals here let the other groups know we are here. We were attacking in two minutes.

"We are here and heading in. two minutes and I won't be able to talk to you" I link Maddox.

"Alright, I'll see you soon. I have eyes on you" Maddox says. I roll my eyes as I look at Blaze and Owen. Once our two minutes were up we slowly approached the camp. The bars on the cave were gone. The elementals that were inside were now out and training. For almost every elemental there were three witches; others only had two or one guarding them. So there were probably 70 witches we were going against. We had ten less people than them. If the elementals we were rescuing were to fight back we would have more on our side. There were 30 elementals. From here it looked like most were in good shape to fight while others looked starved and weak.

The people communicating with either group held their fingers up and counted down from 5. Once they reached one we moved in on them. I grabbed Blaze and Owen before teleporting over to Klarissa. She for some reason had 4 witches with her. Klarissa looked at Owen with tears in her eyes. Behind Klarissa was a girl who looked to be 9 years old. Was she pregnant when they took her?

My body was hit with a force. I looked up seeing a witch chanting under her breath as she looked at me. Owen and Blaze stood there with wide eyes.

"Don't just stand there! Do something!" I grunt trying to use the air to push back. It wasn't working. What the hell. I guess I underestimated the witches and what they could do.

My foot hit something causing me to fall. The force was extremely heavy. My eyes felt as if they were going to pop out from the pressure. I could barely catch my breath. My body was being pushed into the ground. The dirt formed around my body. I close my eyes and think of a different spot in the camp. I teleport next to Kailani.

Kailani was using water like bullets. She was shooting them at one of the witches. They were going around her as she chanted. I gather enough wind and knock the witch down. A few other witches fell as well. Kailani finally got her water bullets into the witch's body. I look back over to Blaze and Owen. Owen was using a boulder as a shield. He would peek around it every now and again. I shake my head before teleporting over to him.

"What are you doing?" I asked. He looked at me.

"I don't know what I'm doing, I barely know how to work this power. I'm trying not to die" he says. Owen had enough training to do what I could with the powers. I think he is just panicking and overthinking the situation.

"Owen, just breathe. You're doing fine. Now I want you to use your mind and lift this rock and throw it at the witch you're watching. Just imagine the rock moving and it will" I say. Owen took a deep breath before nodding his head. He closed his eyes and the rock moved. He sighed before opening his eyes.

"It's not working!" he grumbled. I let out a laugh.

"It moved if you had your eyes opened you would have seen that" I say. My hand clamps around Owen. I teleport to a different spot. The rock we were hiding behind exploded. Owen's eyes widened. "We have to help Blaze now" I say. Blaze was holding his head. All four of the witches were surrounding Blaze. Klarissa was hitting their back trying to stop them from doing what they were to him. Klarissa's attempts didn't work. "You gotta get him out of there" I say.

Owen took another deep breath before a tree started growing next to the group of witches. It towered over them. One of the branches entered the center of the circle from the top. The branch came back up with Blaze. Four other branches were wrapped around each of the witches. They struggled to get free.

Blaze was set on the ground before he set the witches on fire. The battle went on for hours. The witches were strong and whatever they were chanting at you, was a struggle to continue fighting. Once the battle was over and all the witches were killed we checked to see who all died on our side. We lost 15 people. Seraphina was included with the dead that were counted.
