Aura's pov

Over the past three months Maddox and I finally completed the mating process. A few of our pack members have been killed. The first body we found was burned to a crisp. The next one was hanging from a tree. This body had burn marks but wasn't filled with burns. The next body was on the porch of my house. The head was missing and the neck had two hand marks on the body. The hand marks were burned into the body.

The burns on each of the victims bodies give us the idea that it was a fire elemental doing this. It was stressing Maddox out. He didn't know who would be next.

"Alpha, Luna, we found another body. This time they're still alive" Ben says. Maddox and I looked at each other before we were rushing out of the house behind Ben. He led us to the pack house. In the front yard was a woman on the ground. Ryland had a fire extinguisher and was putting out the fire on the woman's body. Maddox and I stopped in front of her. She was screaming out from the pain. Her eyes moved to Maddox.

"She looked exactly like Luna" The woman cried out. My eyebrows furrowed together. I was the only child and had no other family since both my parents were only childs. Could I have a doppelganger?

"It's going to be alright Clara. We're going to get you some help now" I say. The doctors take Clara away.

"So we're looking for someone who looks just like you?" Ben asked. My hand goes into my hair.

"I guess so" I say before walking away. Why is this person killing my pack members? Are they trying to frame me? Maddox raced after me.

"Aura, we're going to figure this out and when we do they'll get what's coming to them," Maddox says. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we walked.

"I want to know why someone is killing random people in our pack. Is the person trying to get our attention? Because they had after the first person they killed." Maddox kissed the top of my head.

"I know, love. We'll find out who it is soon enough" Maddox says. Maddox and I walk into the packhouse. Maddox let me go and walked to his office withBen following behind him.

"You're glowing" Rina says leaning against the back of the couch. Her eyebrows were wiggling. I narrowed my eyes at her when Klarissa gasped.

"You're pregnant?" Klarissa whispered leaning in. I purse my lips.

"No" I lie. Klarissa laughs before narrowing her eyes on me. I crossed my arms over my chest as I sat on the arm of the couch.

"Don't lie to me, we all know lying is not your style" Klarissa says, causing Rina to laugh. My mouth drops open.

"Yeah well according to Maddox keeping secrets isn't your style either" I mutter. Klarissa and Rina start laughing.

"Alright you got me there but I will keep this a secret as best as I can" Klarissa says standing up.

"You're going to tell Peter right now aren't you?" I asked. Klarissa froze Rina and I laughed at her.

"I was. I have to tell someone and once that is done I can keep it from Maddox" She says. I shake my head. I knew that was a lie. I hold my hand out. Rina placed the duct tape in my hand. I ran over to Klarissa. She started running away. I ran after her.

She stops in front of Maddox's office. She gave me a smirk. I got the tap off the roll before reaching out to her. I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and put the tape on her mouth. The door to the office opened causing both of us to freeze. Owen opened the door. Ben and Maddox looked at us with a raised eyebrow. Maddox had a small smile on his face.

"What are you doing to my mom?" Maddox asked. I look at him before looking at Klarissa. My arms move away from Klarissa.

"Nothing."

"Then why do you have duct tape on her mouth?" Owen asked. I grab the tape and rip it off her mouth. Klarissa hissed in pain as she put her hand over her mouth.

"I don't have tape over her mouth" I say. Klarissa looks at me before walking away. I purse my lips before running after her.

"I didn't tell him," Klarissa says. I shake my head.

"I give you until the end of the day before you spill" I say. Klarissa nods her head with a smile.

"You're most likely right," Klarissa says. Maddox walks down the hall and stops right in front of us.

"Aura's pregnant!" Klarissa says. Her eyes widened as she slapped her hand over her mouth. She takes off running up the stairs.

"You're pregnant?" Maddox asked. I nod my head. Maddox smiles before kissing me. What did I tell you about her not keeping secrets?" Maddox says. I throw my hands up in the air.

"I didn't tell her. Rina outed me in front of her and when I lied to her she pointed it out" I groan. Maddox laughs, while rubbing my back.

"How did you get inside so fast? I was just talking to you outside" Elaine asked. I look over at her. Maddox's eyes widened before he ran outside. I follow after him. When I get outside I see Maddox talking to the person who looks exactly like me. As I get closer I notice a small tattoo on her arm.

"Seraphina? I thought you died?" Seraphina gives me a smirk. "What happened to your face?"

"I got it redone. Don't you like it?" she asked. I narrow my eyes on her.

"Of course I like it on me but on you. You on the other hand look desperate." Seraphina glared at me. "You did all this for what?"

"For your mate. Since you didn't want him I figured I could take him off your hands" Seraphina says. I shake my head at her.

"You're right I didn't want him. Now I do, he is mine and forever will be. Just because your mate doesn't want you does not mean you get free pick on anyone else's mate"

"The reason I got my face redone to look like yours was to make sure he had a reminder of you for when I killed you" Seraphina sneered. Maddox growled at her. He went to go forward but stopped when I held my hand out stopping him.

"What makes you think he will want you after killing me?"

"Because he won't be able to kill me when I look just like you" Seraphina smirked. I walk closer to her.

"That's the thing Seraphina, just because you look like me doesn't mean you're me. You'll never be me. It's sad that you went through all this trouble to look like me and try to take my life. But let's make one thing clear. Maddox is mine" I say before taking all the air in her lungs away. Seraphina's face dropped as she tried to gasp for air. Her lifeless body falls to the ground. This was my first time killing someone. I didn't regret it either.

To think this all started with me trying to keep my wolf from killing and not wanting a mate. Then it ends with me willing to kill to keep Maddox as mine and only mine.
