Aura's pov

"Aura!" My dad shouts from outside my door. I pull open my door with a book in my hand. I continue reading as I go back to my bed. I've been trapped in my room all day with this book under my nose.

"Aura, I need your full attention," dad says, taking my book from me. I gawk at him as he closed my book without marking it. Wow, that was rude. He's lucky I know what page I'm on.

"What's so important that you need my full attention and I can multitask" I give him the stink eyes while looking up at him as I lean my back against the headboard. My father and I didn't exactly get along well. He was always trying to push me to train. He knew I was afraid to become stronger.

"Tomorrow at five o'clock we are greeting the Alpha, Beta, and head Warrior of Kingstone pack," my dad says, handing me back my book.

"Why do I have to greet them?" I ask, taking my book back and placing it right beside me. My dad sat on the edge of my bed.

"The Alpha ordered us to greet our guests. We are finally becoming alliances with the Kingstone pack and our Alpha wants the Betas daughter to be there as well as me." my dad gets up from my bed and heads over to my door. I've heard stories about Alpha Maddox. He was temperamental. He never left someone else's pack without breaking something. It usually results in him not becoming alliances with other packs. The Kingstone pack was huge and they could handle their own against a group of rogues. I don't know why he still tries to become alliances with others. He never really committed to the treaty since his anger gets the best of him.

"Get some rest and show up on time. It's already late no more reading and research for the night" I give my dad a small smile while nodding my head.

"Goodnight dad I will be on time I swear" My dad gave me a worried look before shutting the door. I know why he is worried. I'm not really on time for the things I should be.

With a sigh, I mark my page in my book before I put it away and head to the bathroom. I grab my toothbrush and brush my teeth. Heading to my closet I change into my pajamas before heading to bed.

~(Next Day)~

Checking my watch my eyes widened to the size of saucers. I was beyond late, a good twenty minutes late. God, I am so grounded. I put the journal back in their rightful spot before I grab my journals in my hands and make a run for the front of the pack.

My wolf perks up in the back of my mind as I get closer to the house. I get a whiff of a fresh breezy meadow. My wolf howls out in excitement. "Mate!" she says, causing me to halt. My heart drops at hearing this. I wasn't ready to leave this place and Kailani and Terra now Seraphina on the other hand I can get away from. I shake my head at the thought as I continue running. I see Alpha Billy, Luna Arya, my dad, and Alpha Maddox along with his Beta and head warrior standing there talking. My dad looks up with a disappointed smile.

"Aura!" I hear Seraphina shout causing my jog to come to a halt. I slowly turn to her. She glares at me while storming over to me. Terra and Kailani were right behind her telling her not to do this.

"I'm starting to think you are doing this shit on purpose nobody can accidentally be late all the goddamn time!" Seraphina sneers. Seraphina's face was already red with anger. I found it funny how her face became red when angered.

"I was busy," Seraphina laughs, shaking her head. Seraphina glares at me some more.

"It's always something that keeps you busy, isn't there. You never show up for training ever and when you do you always end up almost dead!" I hear my dad gasp. He doesn't know what goes on during our training and we don't tell him. It's only between the elementals and the old elementals which is usually one of our parents.
