It was the end of the day and Harry had planned to go to the library. He needed to at least learn a little bit about football, although Harry was nervous that he might fall asleep. "Hello!" Said the librarian, Miss. Kale.

"Hi, Miss. Kale, how are you doing today?" They had always had a good relationship ever since his sister, Gemma, was in school. Harry would come and hide in the library to draw during lunch or whenever he needed a break.

She smiled at him, "I am doing well. I've been excited to put the new decorations up around here. It needs to be more exciting." The library was kind of a scary place for most people. Ghost rumors had floated around school for years and it made Harry excited to hear about his favorite place getting a slight remodel. Hopefully more people would come then, and see the beauties of it all.

"That's great! I can't wait to see them," There was an awkward moment for silence before Harry filled it again with his voice. "I was actually wondering if you had any books about football. I, uh, actually have this assignment in art and I have to learn more about it."

Miss. Kale paused for a moment thinking about all of the different shelves in her library, "I think they are in section 103, let me take you to it." They walked around the different aisles of books. Every time Harry did this he felt almost overwhelmed by how many stories he had left to read. They kept walking until they reached the very back. "It's quite small, sorry about that, we just don't get many people looking for that topic. Anyway, I hope that your project goes well." She left him alone to do his work.

Harry counted and there were a total of about 15 books, he was going to check them all out. He opened his sketchbook and started trying to draw a rolling ball. It was horrible, too flat, too round, too ovalish. Harry just couldn't get it right. This was one of the only times that Harry felt frustrated with his art. He remembered a sign in Ms. Tomlinson's room said, "You're too comfortable unless it gets hard." Harry would just have to keep moving on because he wanted to prove people wrong. He could get out of his comfort zone and do great.

Harry considered his drawing before coming to the realization that maybe the reason he was so bad was because he had never watched a football game before. Every time his father or another family member did, he just walked out of the room. Harry found the game a waste of time.

But that would not stop him from making the best art portfolio in the whole senior class. This meant only one thing. Harry would have to go to the football tryouts tomorrow.

Mr. Owens blew his whistle on the sidelines. Not only was he the math teacher but he also coached the year around football team. "Good hustle!" Today was just a practice run of the tryouts tomorrow and it was a secret tactic to see who was the most dedicated.

Louis ran into the circle along with the rest of the boys. Niall sat on the bleachers clapping and cheering, "Go Louis! You're the best one!" He pretended it was annoying but actually Louis liked having someone cheer for him. It just felt nice.

After everyone huddled Mr. Owens started talking again, "This was a really fantastic run, boys. I already have my eye on a few of you." He looked Louis up and down before continuing, "I have a feeling this year is going to be great. You all are free to go, except Louis, I need to speak to you in my office."

As soon as the huddle broke Louis was on his way. His stomach was fluttering, what if he already made the team? What if he was already being named team captain? Alright, Louis was getting a little ahead of himself but he couldn't help imagining it all. "Tomlinson, have a seat."

"Why am I here?" Louis said, sitting down on the chair.

Mr. Owens sighed before looking down at his sheet, "Louis, I would really love to have you on this team. You would be a star player." His stomach dropped to the floor, "But in every high school you've ever been in, you've never taken an art credit. Which means you could never get a proper scholarship. This team is for students hoping to get into university."

"But, sir, I am trying to get a scholarship." Had he never really taken an art class before? Louis never really liked doing it, he actually hated doing art but he thought he had completed that class, "How can I change this?"

"You take an art class, but that doesn't seem fair because your sister is the teacher. So, I've been thinking about this and I will pair you up with a student taking art as their major. They will teach you and will help you make a portfolio by the end of the year."

Doing art for an entire year sounded like Louis' worst nightmare but he would have to do it because football was his passion. "I can do it." He was determined to be at least decent at art by the end of the year.

Mr. Owens smiled, "Perfect." His eyes returned to his paper before saying, "Your partner for the year will be Harry Styles. The one that sits next to you in my class. I think that you two would get along very well."
