Cell Phone

That phone call was your out and you should've left. I felt my heart already breaking in that moment. I tried to steady my breath and blink quicker to prepare myself to tell you it's okay if you need to leave. It sounded important. I understand if you do. Because me telling you to go is easier than you saying you need to.
But you told me what was going on and you stayed and my heart was able to go on like it never happened. Like you weren't going to find another out and leave me.
Yet here we are again, except you're not here. You're somewhere with your cellphone and I'm here with mine and I can't even reach you if I tried. My heart is breaking and I can't even try to diminish the pain by making it my choice to have you leave.
