Stick Shift

You drive stick shift which I'm very much not used to seeing anyone do. I try to push out the memory of the occasional times I would ride in a mustang with my ex-windows down, no AC, my hair sticking to my lipstick. His hand would be on top of mine on top of the gear shifter saying he was teaching me to drive shift.
And I kind of wish your car wasn't stick shift so that one of your hands would be free to hold mine while the other holds the wheel. As if I wouldn't be too coward to reach for your hand if it wasn't on the gear shifter. It would be easier to tell though if you wanted to be held. Usually the driver will leave their right hand open, palm facing up on their thigh, or lying comfortably on the center consul. You're kind of shy and probably would be hesitant to touch my hand too.
But maybe in the future I'll ask how to drive shift. I'll bring up the idea of my hand under yours as you control the car. Like I once used to do. And then while we drove, I'd have a reason to touch you.
