You owe me a new mirror

I've always liked the rain. The way the droplets fall like bullets, hitting our skin leaving no mark. It was such a strange but fascinating concept.

The rain was coming down heavy outside as I made myself a sandwich. People were in and out of this house all the time so I didn't think anything of it when there was a knock on the door.

"It's open!" I called, the door swung open as someone came bustling in. They turned to look at me and my stomach twisted.

"Liam."

"Shit!" He cursed looking me dead in the eye. "I didn't think you'd be here?"

"And why's that? I'm not the one sleeping with their ex girlfriend." I said harshly.

"Hey don't you dare say anything about Hayden she's-"

"I don't give a damn about Hayden!" I said walking round the counter, "It's fucking you that's the problem Liam!"

"Why? What did I do!" I stared at him in disbelief.

"Wow... you are unbelievable!"

"But-"

"Not even an apology! I mean seriously I know we only dated for a few weeks but really? Not even a 'sorry I was a dick?' Even a half hearted apology would do I mean-"

"Theo shut up for a minute!" He said and I stopped pulling a face,

"Don't tell me to-"

"Please listen!" I went quiet.

"I seriously don't know what you are on about... we've always been friends... right? We fell out over a video game?" I stared at him hurt plastered over my face.

"Who told you that?"

"Hayden? She tells me everything. Oh and I heard about you and Allison! Congrats man!"

"What about me and Allison?"

"Hayden said you two had a thing for each other and are dating now. Is that not true?"

"No! Liam- Liam I'm gay? And Allison's with Lydia? You know that."

"What since when?"

"Since a while Liam. What else has Hayden told you?"

"Uh she told me about Scott and Malia, Kira and Isaac-"

"What about them?"

"That their dating?"

"Are you joking? Liam Scott and Isaac are dating and so are Kira and Malia? You know this!"

"I- I don't! Hayden told me-"

"Hayden's lying to you!"

"What's the last thing you remember about me?"

"Uh getting out the shower next to your room, I had a glass of water and then..."

"What glass of water?"

"There was water on your windowsill in the bathroom."

"There was no water Liam..."

"There was! I swear!"

"What happened after that?"

"Well we argued about something then I left and got into a car with Hayden. She said she was my girlfriend of two years and explained all that stuff to me."

"Hayden wasn't your girlfriend... you broke up a month ago."

"Who was my girlfriend then?"

"You didn't have a girlfriend. You had a boyfriend."
