Over you

It's been two months and I'd like to say I'm fully over Liam. Definitely 100%, over Liam. We've stayed apart only being near each other at pack meetings which Scott forced us to do and even then, not making eye contact. He never stayed after a meeting leaving straight after Scott said we could. He used to stay when we were together I guess.

"You really think you're over him?" Allison said almost sadly.

"Yeah? What's the matter with that. Am I not allowed to move on?"

"I never said that and you know it." I sighed.

"I know I'm sorry." She nodded.

"I just think you guys were a great couple."

"A great couple! Allison we fought all the time, had nothing in common and we're pretty toxic."

"That's not true! You had so much in common, fights are common in relationships! And please toxic?! You guys just cared about each other!"

"Whatever you say. I just think we both deserve better."

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes. "I just miss you two." I got up heading towards the kitchen.

"Well suck it up buttercup because that relationship is over- SHIT!" I shouted as someone literally fell through the front door taking me out as I walked by it.

"WHAT THE HELL!" I looked down at the person who'd fell on top of me. They looked up and our eyes met for a brief second before we both scurried away.

"I guess that's a familiar position for y'all." Allison said and Liams eyes went wide and he bolted out the door.

"Over Liam my ass." She muttered and I hit her playfully on the shoulder.

"What time is it?"

"12:55 five minutes after you asked last time." I groaned. Stiles had forced me to hang out with him after the whole Liam thing and safe to say I hated it.

"Great."

"Right I think I'm gonna head off," he said after a moment.

"Oh so soon?" I said sarcastically and he scoffed.

"Shut up. I'll see you later."

"Later?"

"There's a pack meeting tonight."

"Oh right. I forgot." I sighed rubbing my forehead.

"I can tell you still care for him." Stiles said softly. I looked up at him.

"Well you're wrong." I stood up.

"Theo you can't keep running from him."

"I can and I will." Stiles sighed, saying his goodbyes and leaving. I slumped back down on the sofa till the door suddenly swung open again. I shot up meeting eyes with him.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey." He breathed

"Uh do you need Scott or?"

"Uh no, nope um I actually came to speak to you."

"Oh?" I said a little shocked. "And why's that?"

Liam gave me a look, the kind of look that says "You know why, shut the fuck up." I nodded biting my lip.

"We've gotta talk about this Theo." I thought about snapping back at him, like I always did. Rude and pompous but I didn't, simply nodding. There was silence for a moment before I took a deep breath and just said it.

"Her name was Caitlyn." Liam looked up from the floor.

"What?"

"The girls name? The one I killed. Her name was Caitlyn."

"Oh." He seemed stunned. "How old was she?"

"4." I checked out my throat starting to hurt again. Liam nodded biting his lip.

"Thank you for telling me." He said softly.

"It's um- it's fine." I felt a tear slip from my eye. I don't know why I was crying. I was over Liam. Definitely over him.

"Theo?" Liam called my name and I looked up. He swallowed when he saw the tears falling down my face.

"Y-you're crying." He said and I scoffed.

"No shit." Liam chuckled and so did I. I missed this. I missed him...

"You really hurt me you know." He said and I letting out a choked sort of sob.

"I know." My lip quivered. "I promise I didn't mean to." My voice was nearly unintelligible, being close to a whisper.

"Then why did you end it?"

"Because I knew I was hurting you. And I didn't want to anymore."

"Then you should have spoke to me." Liam said walking closer his own eyes filling with tears. "Theo I-" He stopped himself but I knew what he was going to say.

"Im so sorry." I whispered knowing I broke him. Knowing I broke Liam Dunbar to the point that he felt he couldn't tell someone that he loved them because of fear of rejection. I broke Liam enough that he was scared I'd turn my back on him again after he'd poured his soul out to me. Liam loved me from the start, and because of me... he couldn't even say it anymore. I brushed a hand over his cheek taking in all of him.

His eyes, those pearly oceanic eyes. His lips, soft and smooth. The way his hair fell in front of his eyes on one side, and how his cheeks were flushed from the cold outside.

"I love you Liam." I said softly and I meant it. His lip quivered much like my own had.

"I love you too." He sobbed and I sniffled bringing my lips down to his softly. I cupped his face my body filling with warmth at that feeling of his lips on mine.

It was a slow kiss, each touch being one of love and promise. A promise to never let something like this happen again.
