It was just another school day. The rule for school days, Technoblade duly noted, was to not touch water and to not look too suspicious whilst not touching water. Of course, it had just so happened that Technoblade did not get any sleep last night, tossing and turning in his bed, wondering why the heck he had not just destroyed the necklace the moment he got it. Way to start the week. SCORE for Technoblade!

Even though he didn't sleep, his outfit was at least put together. He was wearing his signature white poet shirt with black jeans and belt. His long pink hair was tied in his usual braid; Techno was too tired to mess around with his hair.

School was, well, like any normal school. Tommy runs off the moment he gets out of the car, to find Tubbo and Ranboo. Wilbur goes off to find Sally, and Technoblade is very much alone.

Nobody really wants to talk to Technoblade, and he was okay with that. Maybe nobody except...

"Hi! Technoblade!"

Quackity. Ever since the pool party incident, Quackity seemed more and more attached to Technoblade, constantly meeting him at the school hallways, attracting interested glances from everyone who sees them.

"Hullo," Technoblade said, slightly smiling. Just slightly. Maybe Technoblade smiled at Quackity. Maybe no one else needs to know about that. Maybe it meant nothing.

Quackity noticed the smile, and the duckman's usually easy smile grew larger.

"Sooo," Quackity draws the "o" a little longer, "Do you want to talk about the pool party incident?"

Quackity had been bothering Techno about the pool party incident ever since they bumped into each other at school. And, Technoblade may or may not have let Quackity bother him because he enjoyed Quackity's company.

Technoblade thought over Quackity's request in his head. What is the worst case scenario? Well, maybe he would get caught being a mermaid, and what was the harm of that? I mean, Quackity was a hybrid with golden wings, and probably wouldn't hate another hybrid's company, right? Besides, spending time with Quackity sounded pretty appealing to Technoblade, and even though he didn't know why, Technoblade agreed.

"Hm sure. When do you want to talk about it?"

Quackity was obviously not expecting that answer. Technoblade didn't blame him. All the other million times Quackity had asked Technoblade about it, Technoblade had refused.

"S-s-s-s-s-s-s-suree," the shorter sputtered, "Meet you at lunch?" (Dang, our beloved duckman is turning into Y/N lmao. Yes, it was supposed to be s-sure, and it wasn't necessary to put so many s, but did I still do it? YES.)

"Sounds good," Technoblade turned on his heels and left to find his classroom.

...

"TECHNOBLADE!" Techno could hear someone shout in the distance.

It was Quackity, running towards him with a pile of papers in his hand, waving them up and down like a maniac trying to flag down a taxi in New York City.

"Hullo."

Technoblade wasn't going to lie about the fact that he had been talking to Quackity a lot more. He also wasn't going to lie that he thoroughly enjoyed every moment he spent with Quackity. Ugh, feelings. Technoblade wasn't one for feelings, and his feelings about Quackity were definitely foreign to him.

His thoughts about his feelings were interrupted by a rambling Quackity.

"Could you please help me with my English paper? It's due next Monday and we only have four days left and my partner just fucking disappeared from this school-"
