All Sylvie wanted to do was throw her phone against the wall. Ever since she met with Orpheum Records, Jessica and Marcus have been blowing up her phone with reasons she should except and famous artists that were part of the record label. A famous artist she could become.
"Aren't you going to pick up?" Effie asked her as they sat on Sylvie's bed watching Sex Education on Sylvie's laptop.
"They've been doing this ever since the meeting. I thought giving me time to think would mean time to think for myself, not with them emailing me every two seconds." Sylvie sighed as she put her phone face down and put a handful of Goldfish crackers in her mouth.
"I'm sorry for not warning you they wanted just you and not the band. If I knew I would have told you." Effie apologized and Sylvie sent her a smile.
"It's alright." She said with a small smile before it fell.
"How did the guys react?"
"Shocked," Sylvie decided on. "Evan and Oliver say I should accept but Sam and Emmett say I shouldn't."
"Isn't Sam your boyfriend? Shouldn't he support you?"
"Yes, and he does. But we've been through a lot together, it's a long story." Sylvie sighed and Effie closed the laptop.
"We've got time." She smiled and Sylvie chuckled before telling Effie the whole story. Starting from when she moved and had an unfortunate meeting with Sam all the way to when he gave her the locket that she never took off.
"Girl, your love life is better than Percabeth," Effie exclaimed when Sylvie was finished.
"Was that a Percy Jackson reference?" She asked.
"I love books," Effie smiled and Sylvie chuckled. "But from what I'm hearing, is that I think not only you and Sam but also Sunset Curve will survive this."
"Thanks, Effie. But I'm just scared, I almost messed up everything two times before. What if I do it again but this time it sticks?" She asked and Effie gave her a supportive smile.
"It won't. And even if it does, which it again won't, you'll still have me." She said and Sylvie managed to crack a small smile.
"I'm glad we're friends," She smiled and the two shared a hug. "But how about your love life? How's Celine?" She teased and they both laughed together the rest of the day.

"Emmett, come on, please?" Sylvie begged Emmett as he glared harshly at her.
"No, Sylvie. You can't tell me what to do." He sneered.
"But you're the only one that can do this," Sylvie exclaimed as the others watched the two blonds fight with smiles on their faces. The fight was stupid, but that was exactly why the three teens enjoyed watching it.
