"I'm not even going to ask why you're smiling so much first thing in the morning."

"Bet it's Jaemin again, hm?"

"Wish I was you sometimes."

Those were some of the things Jeno heard from his friends when they were in class. Despite the lesson going on, they just had to tease him about his happy mood.

It's a common thing by now, honestly. How could it not? It's been going on for a while and the reason is just gradually becoming more obvious than not.

Well, since a month ago, his friends increased their teasing whenever Jeno's presence joins them as the said boy's face is all smiley and flushed in red.

So he's not bothered and surprised to hear such things from his friends, most likely Chenle and Donghyuck.

"I'm surprised you and Jaemin have only started dating recently," Renjun comments as he joins Jeno at his locker in a semi busy hallway.

"Well, no offense by that at any way. It's just that you guys are like... Glued together or something since a long time ago," Renjun continues.

"I honestly would've thought you guys were together the whole time, but then it turns out it was just almost a month ago." They both laugh at that.

Jeno shrugs his shoulders as he responds, "it felt like it was longer for me too, so you're not alone."

"I was never alone, everyone else thought so too." Renjun flatly said with a bored expression. Because what he said was true, it's just so convincing.

"Hm, I expect that from you though, seeing how much you love him." He then drawls a hum as he eyes the younger boy, giving him that knowing stare of his.

In instinct, Jeno shuffles on his feet as his cheeks start to feel warm. Rolling his eyes a little and turns to quickly close his locker.

Snickering, Renjun drapes an arm around Jeno's shoulders and leads them the way towards the cafeteria. "Still feeling shy when it's super obvious." He mutters with no bite.

When they headed to the table their friends have occupied for today, food tray in hand and laughing at the usual scene, Jaemin was the first to notice them.

"I was just about to look for you," eyeing Jeno, the latter taking a vacant seat beside him as he places his lunch down.

The others greet them suit, strings of teases erupting in their cafeteria table when Jaemin snakes an arm around Jeno's shoulders before planting a kiss on his cheek.

The younger boy turns his head at him shyly and just stares, so calm and habitual that their friends don't even point out the sudden intense gaze.

He examines Jaemin's undeniably handsome face; from the tip of his styled hair, down to his bobbing adam's apple.

Not missing a single feature that's so ordinary yet still eye catching.

Jeno's so deep in thought about how truly amazing the elder boy in front of him is, daydreaming all while like it's the only thing he wants to do right now – it low-key is.

Too focused on his daydream world rather than his reality, he flinches when he feels two long fingers pinching his nose followed by a low coo.

Snapping out of his stupor due to the unexpected action, he blinks and realizes Jaemin's pinching him on the nose ever so lovingly.

"We lost you there for a second, Jen," the elder boy said, emphasizing how Jeno's been daydreaming for a while now.

It's a knowing habit of his; suddenly staring off to enter his imagination world and block out reality.

There's top two causes of it;

1. boredom in class.

2. Na Jaemin.

And apparently, now is about the latter.

Can you blame Jeno? I don't know, but all he cares about right now is Jaemin with him.

However, if Jeno thought that was it and he'll go back to reality, finish his food and talk to his friends before the bell rings – signaling for lunch to end – he's wrong.

Because just as he was about to do that, Jaemin smiles. At him, the type of smile that's so wide and happy, showing off his pearly whites as well as his gums.

Jaemin's literally shining. Everything he's doing right now is blinding Jeno when it's accompanied by that beaming smile of his.

A genuine and loving one. The one that Jeno feels giddy about whenever he gets it.

On cue, he's getting the said feeling. He feels like he's on cloud nine, just because of a damn simple smile from the boy he loves.

And he's currently far gone, because he gets another pinch, on his left cheek this time and much more painful than anything.

Jaemin's squeezing his soft skin to the point Jeno whines, swatting the affectionate hand away to rub his left cheek where Jaemin's fingers were.

"Jaeminie, that hurt." His lips forming a pout as he can hear Chenle laughing together with Renjun.

He only gets a soft coo from the elder boy, his free hand reaching up to caress Jeno's mane.

Donghyuck then comments on, "I don't know if Jeno's face is red because Jaemin pinched his cheek too harshly or he's blushing." Soon snickering at them.

Jeno quickly glares at him and turns to face his lunch again, he's sure someone took a piece or two of his sliced kiwis, but he doesn't comment about it.

"We keep losing Jeno hyung when Jaemin hyung is around, that's going to be a problem." Jisung laughs a little as he finishes his apple pie.

"Hm, he's right, Jen." Jaemin hums along but doesn't say anything else. Taking a piece of sliced kiwi with a fork and brings it up to Jeno's plump lips.

Huffing, the younger boy takes it anyway before grumbling, "I can feed myself, Jaem." Chewing the fruit with his teeth, "and give our friends a break, this is embarrassing."

"You're the only one who's shy about it." Chenle quips, sharing a high five with Donghyuck.

"Yeah, we're all used to PDA. Besides, Donghyuck hyung and Renjun hyung totally k– ow!" Jisung yelps when he felt a kick on his shin.

"You're really annoying when Mark isn't here. Taking this as an opportunity because he can't join us today." They all laugh at Renjun's words.
