PETER POV

"You are sure?" I confirm her decision. I'm quite glad she chose to stay as a doctor and not go back to Trogen, because once she does, I don't know what will happen to her. But I have to make sure first. I haven't said anything to her and just hope she won't back down.

"Sure. I've been thinking about it this morning. Even if it's only for a moment, but... but I can feel y-you guys aren't bad people. I don't know why you were in that place and bought me, but... the one you gave me last night, your kindness. Something I haven't felt for almost the last two months. I... I feel like a human again... So-so I... I decided to accept your offer," Rebecca answered while holding back tears. It must be hard enough for her.

"Good," Ruby smiled and hugged her. This is the first time I've seen her like this. The soft side of Jennie Kim, a cold and serious former Detective.

"I'm happy with your choice. We will immediately prepare your transportation. While waiting, you will stay here. You have no problem with that right?" I asked, smiling at her.

Rebecca pulled away from Ruby's embrace and looked at us with tears in her eyes. "Thank you," she said, wiping the tears that rolled down her cheeks. "Though I don't know who you are and why you are doing this, I'm grateful," she continued.

"About that..." I glanced at Ruby, and she nodded, telling me to continue. "You will know who we are once you arrive at that place. And why are we doing this because we're looking for a girl who through the same thing as you," I continued making Rebecca look at me in confusion. So I told her.

"I'm looking for my best friend's sister. She is from Thailand and last year she went through the same thing as you. She was kidnapped, and from the information I got, she was sent here. I've been looking for her in this town, but never found it. I searched for information and knew there was an auction like last night. So I guess she's been sold to someone and move somewhere. I don't know where she is right now, but I won't stop until I find her," I said. Perhaps the sadness emanated from my voice makes Ruby took my hand and held it. I smiled a little and squeezed her hand.

"Umm... I'm sorry," Rebecca said in a small, regretful voice. She must have felt my sadness because she had experienced it, so she more or less understood how Punpun was feeling and what might happen to her at this point.

"No. I'm grateful that at least I was able to get you out of there," I replied, and Rebecca suddenly got up from her seat and rushed over to hug me. I was surprised when she wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face in the crook of my neck.

"Thank you," she whispered through her sobs. She cries again, and I awkwardly hug her back and rub her back to comfort her. I glanced fearfully at the beautiful woman who was still sitting in her place. She smiled faintly and nodded.

"When is the right time to infiltrate that place?" Ruby and I are currently back at her apartment. After our lunch and our conversation with Rebecca earlier, we left her there and returned to start planning our infiltration of Valdo Bykov's mansion.
