// SONG: Howling at the Moon, Bad Flamingo \\
-//-19th of October, Sunday, 1975
"But you guys can't go without me!" Sirius whined as he and James left the bathroom.
James rolled his eyes, sick of having the same discussion they had been having ever since James managed to change into an Animagus and Sirius had yet to complete the spell.
"You want Moony to be alone for another full moon?" he challenged him, turning to his friend. Sirius stopped, biting his lip. That was the last thing he wanted, and James knew that. But he also didn't want James and Andrea going out there without him. Sirius did not do well when he was left out of things.
"Listen," James tried to reason with him when he saw how Sirius was struggling. "The moon isn't full until 8 o'clock tomorrow morning, so Andie and I won't head out there until about seven. You'll be in class for the whole thing, not missing anything. And then when I get back, we'll keep practising so you can join us for the November moon."
Sirius reluctantly nodded and let James lead the way to The Great Hall where lunch was happening.
Remus was already in the Hospital Wing, Madam Pomfrey fussing over him as she always did, but they knew Andrea and Peter were waiting in there for them, holding their seats.
However, they stopped a few steps away from their friends, weighing the situation in front of them.
Next to Andrea by the table, stood none other than Marshall Fawley, chatting Andrea, Peter, Mary and Lily. Sirius walked over until he was right behind Marshall and cleared his throat in a very unsubtle gesture.
Marshall turned as he heard Sirius next to him. His eyes went wide when he saw the two boys standing there but tried to cover it up with a quick smile.
"Hey, guys! I was just talking to Andrea here about Quidditch this year. Who's your next match against?"
"Slytherin," James said coolly, staring at Marshall with a blank expression. Marshall only smiled back at him. "Brilliant! Since I took over for Diggory when he left, we needed to change a lot of attitudes on the team so we'll be training a lot this year too. There was never any room for Quidditch when that big ego was on the pitch."
James agreed wholeheartedly, but he wasn't about to invite Marshall into deeper conversation. Plus, he was still bitter about the loss last weekend.
"Hey, you never know, maybe we'll meet again for the finals," he said happily when Andrea responded to his comment about Diggory with a huff in agreement.
He turned back to her with a kind smile. "I gotta continue my Prefect duties for this afternoon, but I'll see you around Andie," he said kindly.
"Yeah, I'll see you," she smiled back at him.
