30th of June, Wednesday, 1976

Summer break had started for the Hogwarts students but the same could not be said for their working parents.

Euphemia and Fleamont had been back to pick the boys up at the train station when they arrived but had to leave the next morning, not knowing when they'd be back.

Aisha and Marco were having the next week off, so the two boys were moved to Russo mansion for the time being. Which was perfectly fine with James and Sirius because they got to hang out with Andrea every day.

And even better, Gian, Rico and Jadah had all flown in so they could be there for their fathers 60th birthday.

Walking across the landing on the first floor, Sirius came upon Andrea and James furiously shaking their fists and repeatedly throwing up the same result during rock, paper scissors.

Curious, he walked over to them.

"What are you fighting over now?" he asked, watching them both put up rock. "Seeing whose parents we tell first," James mumbled, concentration evident on his face.

Andrea threw her hands up and cheered loudly as she finally beat James' rock with paper.

"Damnit," James complained, kicking the wall. Andrea grinned, stood up on her tiptoes and gave him a quick peck. "Tough loss, Potter. You're fresh meat for the Russo sharks now."

She grabbed his hand and quickly ran down the stairs, heading for the kitchen where the rest of her family were gathered.

Sirius smiled brightly and followed, wanting to see the show.

"Ah, morning kids," Aisha greeted them all. "Good morning, Aisha. Looking as lovely as ever," Sirius winked, quickly taking a seat next to Gian by the breakfast table.

Rico tried to pour him a cup of coffee, but Sirius covered his mug in disgust, grabbing the teapot instead.

"English man," Rico tsked, shaking his head disapprovingly.

Jadah and Gian were fighting over the newspapers like children, both trying to disrupt the others reading by hitting the pages, racing each other to see who finished first.

Aisha was calling to them from the island to try and get them to stop but it fell on death ears.

"Hey, Papa?" Andrea asked, excitement and nerves buzzing in her chest. "Mhm?" he hummed distractedly, trying to get the eggs, bacon and toast all at the same time.

James cowered behind Andrea where they stood in the doorway, not able to look at any of the Russo family members.

"Remember that pinkie I gave you at Christmas? I kinda broke it," she smiled her best innocent smile, rocking back and forth on her heels.
