18th of March, Thursday, 1976

"Have you seen it?" Sirius asked Andrea.

Looking up from her book, she raised her eyebrows at him. "We used to take baths together, honey. I saw it before it even was an 'it'," she chuckled.

"Why do you want to see it?" Remus asked, his eyebrows pulled together as he tried to concentrate on his book. The group were gathered outside by the Black Lake, the temperatures finally allowing some outside studying, and Sirius was disturbing them with his questions.

"He's my best friend," Sirius argued, thinking that was enough. Remus turned to him completely now, forgetting his book. "Again, why do you want to see it?"

Sirius sighed and turned to his friend completely. "What if Prongs has an accident, huh? What if he's attacked by a dragon and his body's burned to a crisp except for his privates because he was wearing dragon scale boxers. And I'm standing there 'Sorry, I can't help you Mr Auror sir, no. Because I haven't seen his penis.' Then, boom, he's buried in a mass, unmarked grave."

Remus' expression stayed straight. He took a drag from his cigarette and blew out a long breath before looking Sirius in the eye. "Again, why do you want to see it?"

"Ugh Moony, just work with me here!"

Andrea couldn't help but snigger at his expense. She looked over to the edge of the Lake where Peter was showing James the difference between Gilly weed and regular seaweed.

With the sunlight glistening on the water behind him, shining off of his shiny, black hair, Andrea quickly got lost in her thoughts, staring at him.

Her vision turned foggy and unclear. Waving a hand in front of her face, Andrea turned to her left and found the culprit. Remus had gone back to minding his own business, still smoking a cigarette from the packet Marlene had gotten him for his birthday.

But it wasn't his smoke that was impairing her vision. It was a shit-grin wearing Sirius who had purposefully aimed his smoke at Andrea when he caught her staring at James.

She prepared a quick comment but stopped short, sniffing the air around her. It didn't smell like regular cigarette smoke.

And she would know, by all the second-hand smoking she had fallen victim to over the last year from Mary, Marlene and Dorcas, and soon after, Remus and Sirius.

She didn't care for them herself. Like Peter, she got nauseous from the taste. Dorcas and Marlene had also quickly given up the habit when they learned the smoke could affect them, damaging their stamina. This was bad news for the competitive couple.
