"What's wrong with you?" Jisoo whispered."That blonde. Who is that?" Lisa's voice quivered as she asked.
"Roseanne? That's Jennie's assistant."
"Flight girl."
"What?"
"Flight girl. That's flight girl! The one I was so bent on getting but wouldn't even give me her name." Lisa tightened her grip on the chair
Jisoo was practically vibrating in her seat to keep from laughing in Lisa's face.
"I want the ground to swallow me." Lisa sighed.
"This is so funny."
"To you!"
"Relax. You'll be fine."
They quiet down as the meeting started. As expected, the meeting went well, Jisoo would love to solely credit Jennie for her confidence and selling front. There were no objections or disagreements.
The meeting was over and everyone was leaving. Lisa and Jisoo were itching to leave but it seemed Jennie had decided to stay till the end.
A somewhat younger looking man walked up to Jennie. By the looks of it, he must've been in his mid thirties.
"We look forward to our collaboration with JNK Corps."
Jennie reciprocated his smile and shook his hand.
What's the need to speak to her alone? We already went over this through the meeting.
Jisoo glared at him, trying to make him leave with her eyes.
"I was wondering if you were interested in having dinner with me tonight," He paused to see Jennie's surprised reaction before continuing.
Right in front of my salad?!
He was clearly hitting on Jennie.
"So we could further discuss the details."
What's there to discuss?
"I'm not sure about that." Jennie meekly replied.
"That's unfortunate. I would've loved to have dinner with such a beautiful lady." His smug smile was enough for Jisoo to step in.
She protectively pulled Jennie closer to her by the waist.
"I'm sure you would've. Unfortunately, she's taken. By me." Jisoo flashed her ring. "I'm sure you know that."
He backed away as expected, slightly embarrassed.
"We can further discuss details at the next meeting if you're interested. And as for that dinner. She'll be with me."
"Right." He faked a smile, dismissing the tension. "Hope you enjoy your stay."
As soon as he left, Jisoo huffed out in annoyance.
"The audacity to hit on a taken woman!" She rolled her eyes. "I can't stand men."
"You're one of them." Jennie reminded her, lips pressed together to hide her smile from emitting.
"Oh. Yeah." Jisoo rubbed her neck with her free hand. "Forgot about that."
"Will you be letting go or shall we stay here?" Jennie asked, lowering her gaze to Jisoo's hand still wrapped around her waist. The older was quick to step back and apologize.
Jennie seemed quite pleased with the reaction. "It's fine. Let's go, Rosie."
"Possessive, aren't we?" Lisa teased as Jennie and her assistant left.
