"Is this...is this why you thought I wouldn't want you? Is this why you left?""I'm sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry for, Jisoo. I can't even...how could someone ever leave you?" Jennie teared up, thinking of all the words she said in the past. "And me, an idiot, I always rambled about the family I wanted, and you probably thought...."
"You thought I would leave you like her." The hurt in her voice at her realisation pained Jisoo.
"Jennie..."
"You thought that I would go away after we spent all our time pouring all our love into each other? Did you really think I was like her?"
"I never saw her in you!" Jisoo exclaimed. "I did think of our future together. No matter what could've happened, I would've disappointed you. I didn't want to fight for something that would hurt you in the end."
"Jisoo, you could never disappoint me."
"I couldn't shake the thought of you wanting Jin. I will be honest, I was impossibly jealous that he could have you, he could give you what you want while I..." She felt Jennie squeeze her hand.
"I want to be with you because I can only see myself beside you. No one else. I don't picture a family without you." Warm eyes gazed at her. "All I want is you."
Jennie felt nervous when she came closer, but Jisoo only dropped her head onto her shoulder.
"I forgot the me before you, Jennie. All these days, I roamed around, having erased everything that's not you." Jisoo's hands wrapped around her waist, pulling herself closer. "In my eyes, I can only see you. I feel like I can't remember anything before you."
"I love you more than I could love myself."
Jennie's fingers tangled in between the strands of Jisoo's hair. "I know."
————————————
"Will you give it back?"
"No."
"It's mine."
"You can get it back when you're calm and thinking straight." Jisoo didn't expect this turn of events after the revelations. They both had managed to leave the awkwardness that followed after and instead opted to have a calm lunch.
That was until Jisoo caught Jennie texting Hanbin in very detailed ways to ruin whatever Soojoo had.
"Jisoo," Jennie narrowed her eyes. "I'm feeling highly insulted right now. Lower your hand and give me back my phone. It's mine."
"What's yours is mine and what's mine is yours." She held an annoying smirk that Jennie just wanted to kiss away.
"No, what's yours is mine and what's mine," She jumped, failing to grab it. "is mine!"
The older one cocked her head sideways. "Then what's mine?"
"Me. And only me." The glare she sent was received with a cocky smirk.
"I guess that's a good enough exchange." She leaned in closer, looming over her, yet her arm remained raised.
"It's more than enough. Now give me my phone."
"Fine." Jennie grabbed the phone. Jisoo handed to her without looking and walked out. One... two... three...
"JISOO! THIS IS YOURS!"
She snickered when Jennie walked back to her, still glaring and holding her hand out for her phone. Jisoo just interlocked their fingers and lowered it.
