"Scaling walls wasn't this hard before." Jisoo groaned to herself as she pulled her body up, rubbing against the rough bricks. The fall to the ground was even less pleasant. She was left wriggling in pain once her butt hit the ground and the inability to let out a sound to showcase her agony was devastating to the drunk girl.
Scrambling, she carefully sneaked to the first elevated source she could spot and flimsily hung off of it, swinging back and forth until her feet caught onto a higher surface.
"My brainnn!" Currently, Jisoo was hanging upside down from the second floor balcony. Even she couldn't explain how she managed to get here. Using all her core strength, she leaned up and threw herself inside.
Carefully sliding the balcony door, Jisoo tiptoed inside the room which she assumed was Jennie's. A sloshed hiccup left her mouth once she spotted the lump under the blanket.
Getting down all fours, Jisoo crawled to sit beside the side of the bed right near Jennie's head. Her hand travelled to grab the one slipping out of the sheets. Immediately, she felt the girl's body writhing under the sheets.
"Shhh! Jen, it's me! Please don't shout!" Jisoo begged on her knees, holding her hand. Once she felt her calm down, she stumbled back down to sit cross-legged on the floor.
"I...I have something to tell you. Please listen to me until the end no matter how angry you get. Will you do that?" The smaller hand in hers gave her an assuring squeeze.
"I don't know where to start or how to start." She felt her throat choke up. "I know you'll hate me after this, anyone would. I could never hate you though. Gosh, I don't think anyone can."
"I like you so much, Jennie. I...I love you so much. I'm so sorry for what I'm doing, I just don't know anything else I can do without hurting everyone else."
Heaving a sigh, Jisoo closed her eyes and pulled their weaved hands close to her chest. "I know you will but I still want to beg you for it at least once. Please don't hate me, Jennie."
"I'm not Jin. I'm not some CEO that was arranged to marry you. All of that is just bullshit. Most importantly, I'm not a guy. I know, I know." Jisoo chuckled sadly. "You're probably extremely disgusted right now but it's so hard to live a lie till the end."
"You are so beautiful, and interesting and just being near you made me the happiest I could be. Before I knew it I was talking so deeply for you I completely forgot I'm not here as me. I'm just here as my missing brother."
"I don't know when it started that I felt every second without you feeling so empty as if you were missing from me. Nothing in me is sure I'll live happily after I leave but I know I don't deserve you. You deserve better.
"I love you. I know after this, you won't feel the same way so I'm giving you up like I should've in the first place." Jisoo shook her head to stop the alcohol from putting her to sleep.
"I tried, trust me I tried so hard to be indifferent to you but I just couldn't help myself every time I saw your face. And that smile...I couldn't help but show you all my love when you smiled at me as if you did love me."
"I know I'm not enough but I'm trying my best. I feel like everything I'm doing means nothing to anyone but I can't stop now." Jisoo leaned on the bed, struggling to get back on her knees. "Be happy with him."
The raven racked her brain for what else she had forgotten. Was it too late to text Nayeon and ask? "Ahh, yes! That locket you found is mine. It found its way back to its owner so don't fret over it again, okay? Okay."
Jisoo stood up but the hand that was holding onto hers tugged her back to her knees.
"I think it's time for us to let each other go, Jendeukie." Jisoo unwrapped the hand from her own. "Maybe in our next life we'll meet again. As Jennie Kim and Kim Jisoo."
