Chapter 10

The splash of cold water obliterated Seulgi's face. The liquid dripped down her face as Seulgi quickly grabbed around for a paper towel.

"What the fuck, Lisa!"

"You weren't moving." Lisa shrugged and set the cup down.

Jisoo stifled a laugh and watched the two bicker. How she wished this was her reality again.

"That's why that sheep got your ass."

"I know the God of bad luck isn't talking to me as if you didn't get attacked by a parakeet, gorilla and a porcupine all in one day."

"We get it. You both suck and Cinderella would've hated you guys."

"Who cares about that bitch. She thought she was talking to animals and lived with dwarfs. I'm sure she was tripping acid."

"Just like Lisa tripped on that lady on the subway and got slapped into oblivion."

"Alright. Enough arguing. Dalgomie doesn't like it." Jisoo petted the old dog while he slept as usual.

"He doesn't like anything." Lisa scoffed.

"Correction. He doesn't like bad things. Like you." Seulgi turned to face Jisoo. "Now back to your mess."

"To summarize, I'm stepping in as Jin for his engagement until they find him. Very simple and to the point. Any questions?"

Seulgi silently raised her hand like a schoolgirl. Jisoo nodded and told her to go ahead.

"Yeah, sorry, what the fuck?!"

"Language, Miss Kang." Lisa ordered.

"Yes, my bad. What the heck?!"

"What part are you confused about?"

"Since when were you rich?"

"I'm not. My family is. Next!"

"Is your fiancée hot?"

"Absolutely breathtaking. Anymore?"

"When will you guys come back?"

"I'm...not sure."

Seulgi fell back on the couch. "This is so unfair. My two best friends are mingling with the rich while I have to be alone and keep company of an aged dog."

"I'm gonna train Dalgom to bite you."

"Whatever." Seulgi waved off. "You look good in a suit."

"Thanks. You wanna kiss later?" Jisoo playfully winked.

"What about me? What about me?!"

"I can manage to look at you without feeling the need to throw up right now."

"Is that why you asked me out two weeks ago?" Lisa wiggled her brows. "She's so into me." She told Jisoo who laughed at their antics.

"Gross. I just wanted free food." Seulgi frowned. "Plus I was all alone."

"We're here the whole week so you won't be anymore." The ringing of Jisoo's phone interrupted them.

"Nayeon wants to FaceTime." Jisoo informed as she accepted the call.

"Hey, bunny."

"Hey, dummy. I'm here with V and Jeong." The camera was moved to show the artist, slurping down his ramen.

"Ignore him. He's inhaling those noodles."

Jisoo panned over her phone to show Lisa and continued to introduce Seulgi. They were getting to know each other when V came back from throwing away his empty takeout box.
