"So! Names everyone! I'll start. My name is Melody. You?" Melody asked, pointing at the dark looking guy. "Aytechrfy." he answered, still in awe from what the box had withhold.
"What, did someone keyboard smash your birth certificate?" Melody asked, and then frowned.
"Wait, was that rude? I never get it if I'm rude..." she trailed of. "I'll just call you Yang, and you're girlfriend Yin." Frank rubbed his temples, as if trying to get rid of a headache.
"You're doing it again. You're reading our minds... I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that is true. I wouldn't even be surprised if you're an alien too!" he laughed bitterly. Melody quickly ran off, and when she came back, she had a stethoscope with her.
"What do you need that for?" Aytechrfy- or Yang as Melody had decided to call him- asked.
"Here. Listen to this." Melody told Frank, excitement on her face. Frank took it, and Melody held the other end against the left side of her chest. Frank could hear a rhythmic beat just like his own heart would have radiated. Melody then moved her end of the stethoscope to the right side of her chest. Frank could now hear the same rhythm he'd heard before, but from another source. He understood. She had two hearts.
"Oh my... I-I don't know... I don't know what to say." Frank stuttered Melody patted him sympathetically on the shoulder.
"It's a lot to take in, isn't it." she said, smiling a bit. Then she ran off to the console and began typing in something while looking at the scanner.
"What happened?" Yin asked.
"She has two hearts." Frank said. "My headache just got bigger."
"But she can't have, can she? That isn't... possible." Ella said.
"We're in a box that is bigger on the inside and you're finding that hard to believe? You even saw someone magically appear and has been told one of your best friend's memory has been wiped and that I'm her child. Blimey, you humans are mixed up." Melody said, then stopped typing.
"Wait... Was that rude? Gosh, I don't really care any longer."
"You!" Melody swirled around, pointing at a guy who had been standing quietly in a corner, looking rather pale. "What's your name?" she asked.
"Mark." he said, but Melody misheard him.
"Hawk, that's brilliant!" she ran up to Mark and kissed his cheek. Mark blushed from the touch of her lips.
"N-no. Mark. It's Mark, actually." Mark said, blushing even harder.
"I quite like Hawk though. So, tell me, Hawk, you look younger than everyone else. Why's that?"
"He's smarter than everyone, so he jumped out of school earlier and started with us at University." Ella said.
"So, how old are you exactly?" Melody asked Hawk curiously.
"17." he answered, blushing even harder than before. "What's the problem with you, haven't you talked to a girl before? Wait, that could be taken rudely. Sorry." Melody knitted her eyebrows, thinking hard.
"No, it's okay." Hawk said, his face growing hotter for every second that passed. Inside of him, he scolded himself for that.
"So! Ella, Yin, Yang, Frank, Hawk, Amy and Rory. We've got work to do." Melody said and checked the scanner. "Oh good! Lots of information. Let's see..." Her eyes quickly scanned through the text, seeking for something that could help the state her mother was in. She didn't seem very happy with it, and when she finished she saw only one way for her mother to get better without forgetting them.
"Have you found anything?" Amy asked.
"It seems like there's only one way of doing this." Melody slowly said.
"Which is..?" Rory asked, trying not to push her.
"The only way to remove a memory wipe as I can see, is that the person who put it there removes it for us."
"But that means..." Amy said, trailing of. Melody felt scared, and a part of her wanted to crawl into a corner and hide forever. But another part of her told her she had to do it, no matter what. She couldn't lose everything again. This was her chance to get things right again.
"We have to make a visit to the Silence."
