"So... I'm your grandmother." Amy began.
"Yup." Melody said, waving a little to her.
"And... you died." The question was directed to the Doctor this time.
"Well, that was the plan, anyway." Everyone went silent. Amy eventually stepped closer to Melody. When she was close enough, she pulled her newfound granddaughter into a close hug.
"Welcome to the family." Amy whispered into Melody's ear.
"Thank you." she whispered back. Rory switched place with Amy, and she went over to the Doctor.
"You should've told us before. I mean, it's a bit weird being in my late twenties and having a granddaughter, but I wouldn't have killed you or anything." she said while pulling him in for a hug.
"Hang on, where's River? You never told us what happened after you saved the Doctor. How did you escape? Is River alright?" Rory asked, letting go of his granddaughter and looking down at her. Both father and daughter got that sad look on them, the look that meant something had happen and they took all the blame for it. "Doctor?" Amy asked in a serious tone, pulling away. "When I saved my father, mum got paralysed. Some people do that when they get scared or shocked. We got saved by the TARDIS, but the Silence took mum away from us. They took away her memories and replaced them with new ones. She doesn't remember you, her parents, and she probably thinks she was raised on a children's home, which is partly true though. But she doesn't remember ever seeing the universe. She doesn't even remember she was married and had a kid."
Melody watched as her grandparents silently broke down in tears. Amy sat on the floor, her back resting against the console, head in her hands. Rory sat down at the only passenger seat there was in the TARDIS. The Doctor and Melody stood there, both taking the blame for causing every tear that dropped onto the floor.
"But we could just tell her. We could just tell her, couldn't we." Amy said through sobs.
"If she ever remembers, she'll die. Her head will burn and... she'll die" the Doctor said. There were tears streaming down his face now too. Together they sat there, crying, three generations of Ponds. Melody had sat down in her fathers lap, and she hugged him tightly as the tears kept in for so many years finally were let out.~
River walked down the nearly empty street, accompanied by only her friends. They'd been eating at this really fancy restaurant to celebrate it was Friday, and yet another week of hard studying at the university was over. Suddenly, River stopped in her tracks. She thought she heard something, or more like someone. She turned around, and saw a woman standing there. Only half of her body was lit up, and the light came from a single street light. River felt like she recognised the woman. Suddenly, the woman said something, and although she was more than 20 meters away, and it only was a whisper, River could hear it as if it came from her own mouth.
"We're coming to get you." the voice said. It was a very familiar voice, and suddenly River remembered her. Her name was Madame Kovarian, and she worked for the Silence. Her head got hot, really hot. The hotness escalated quickly, until her head was incredibly hot, definitely hotter than it should have been. River got down on her knees, her head in her hands.
"River? Are you alright?" one of her friends asked. A hand was laid on her head, but was quickly removed. River heard her friend- which one she wasn't sure- call for help. Her other friends seemed to have gone ahead, but were now quickly rushing back.
"She's incredibly hot, I don't know what happened." the friend who'd called for help said. "I think she needs a doctor."
Doctor. The word echoed through River's mind. A doctor. The Doctor. She remembered him. The clever man and his TARDIS, off to see the universe. She remembered the times they'd run, and it seemed like it never stopped. The running. Always running, never stopping. Her smart and kind husband with two hearts filled with love for her. How could she have forgotten him?
Suddenly her head exploded, or so it felt like. But the explosion didn't only cause pain, it brought back the memories too. When she first met the Doctor, their first kiss and the soft feeling of her baby in her arms. Melody. She had a kid, and she'd forgotten. The memories flashed by until everything was a big blur and only darkness was left. The sound was still there though. The sweet sound of her child's laughter. It was played on repeat until it became a blur too, and she was left alone to burn from the flames that came from inside her head. She wished, harder than she'd ever wished before that, the Doctor would come. She wished for him to save her, and she wished for her to be able to hold her daughter in her arms again.
